Once a Jui-Jitsu fighter get an armbar locked on you best tap out and come back to fight another day.

Actually thats not entirely true. Depending on how the arm broke, usually a broken bone grows stronger.

I haven't watched UFC in years. I really liked the first few though when they didn't have any / many rules.

Now its just a step up from boxing...

No the fight was stopped. Sylvia wouldn't have be able to properly defend himself with a broken forearm.
