pornstreet.com just started charging $3.95 for a daily listing on their tgp (to help cover bandwidth costs).

Mind you, this is not for a premium listing. This is to get listed at all.

I'm really new so I don't know if this tgp can justify asking for money, but I know one tgp that I just crossed off of my submit list.

I figure that as hardly anyone submits, fewer people will visit the site and once no one goes there anymore, their bandwidth usage/cost problem should be over.

The biggest problem with this is traffic quality overall is declining rapidly. I have been getting ready to buckle down and work really hard and a lot smarter to keep the bucks coming in this coming year.

You would need to know the tgp well and it's quality of traffic, before signing up for anything. You would likely also need to be an experinced webmaster, and good at converting traffic.

Outside of a few tgps, in the days that we were allowed to use the full sized a/p pics on tgp galleries, there were not very many tgps that would make 3.95 in clicks on the biggest pics from one gallery

Call me old-fashioned, but I think the old idea of a TGP is a good one. The TGP provides the traffic, the submitters provide the content- if done well everybody prospers.

If a TGP can't convert enough to cover their own bandwidth, is their traffic really going to be worth $3.95? I've never heard of Pornstreet, and I'm guessing I won't be hearing much about them in the future.

As for the Easypic thing (I got that email also) it just brings them a step closer to being a CJ site in my book.

If I want to buy traffic, why would I buy unproven TGP traffic? Aside from the Hun and maybe one or two more, they don't convert well enough to justify the cost!

Warphead and Rip both had valid points. If they want us to buy positioning (which in itself is starting to become a more popular offering for traffic generating programs) than they are going to have show me and I'm sure other webmasters that they not only get the hits but that they convert a hell of a lot better than most TGPs. They must supply quality traffic. TGP's are not necesarily know for quality traffic generators on a whole.

There are excepions to this of course. The Hun, being one right off the top of my head.

Some TGP owners are simply stupid. Hey, we provide the fucking pics, the fucking bandwitdh, the fucking gallery design... the only fucking thing they need is to review them using a script. Their fucking surfers are visiting OUR fucking galleries, not their fucking TGP.

Goddamn stupid morons, the only one who should offer pay per listing is thehun, because his traffic is good and he send 100k, not 3k god damnit!

Everyday there's a newbie starting his own TGP when he can't convert shit on tgp gallery. Wtf? I make load of cash from TGPs and will never open a TGP, way too much trouble, and no money there. If you can't make money from your tgp, close it or put 20 of your galleries and change it into a CJ2.

Sorry, but this no name tgp isn't even in my 400 list of tgp.

What's next? They will ask for 25% of our incomes from tgp? Suicidal.

So, Is Gallery traffic depreciating or not? i keep hearing people that say they make virtually millions off of the 5000 gallereies they have submitted, but when i got 10 gallereis made, and used my own bandwidth, i barely got 10 click throughs....

It was pretty pathetic... and made me not want to do galleries...

So what does a TGP owner do to make money? put up a couple ads, or a popup? How does he cover his expenses, because without the TGP there is no use for galleries as there would be no way to find them? how do WE as the adult industry helpout the ones that make us money, or is it worth it because Gallery traffic is getting weak?

I agree that some of the big tgp are taking things too far. The other day a bud of mine submitted to one of the really big tgp sites and was denied because of what he was doing with his 404 traffic. Where does a tgp site get the right to tell anyone what they can or cannot do with 404 traffic. Second why in the world was the tgp even looking at or figureing out what he was doing with his 404 traffic. Whats next.

Some of us are playing with the idea of taking the CJ2 type site to the next level so to say. It would be a CJ2 site only with content. Links submitted by tgp gallery builders that would be listed the same day as long as them meet basic guidelines, ie legal content, no beast, no warez. Dr Dre mentioned the url at AWI above. Maybe with this type of arrangement more of us making galleries and trying to open our own tgp sites can at least make some money from our traffic.

Paid listings are not a new thing, tgp's like every other site they are testing the water the water with their other foot because some have had success with it.
Give it time to settle down, some will burn themselves with it, some may make a success at it, there is no shortage of tgp's and other traffic out there, time to try them maybe.
