ImageReady users.

I have my document open in it (go figure). After I make my slices and do a save optimized as it saves all the slices as gifs. Is there a setting that will alow me to have them saved as jpgs? For a long time I just manuly made all the jpgs for my designs but I was hoping that there is a faster way.

go to the optimized view (make sure you window isnt maximized) then you can select one or multiple slices and change them by using the optimize window you can do some as jpeg some as gif and all levels of each

Hope it helped

(if you have questions you should post in the other thread for qss and a's)

Yeah, you can optimize every single slice differently. Gif, jpeg, various qualities, various palletes.

To make small gifs, play with the palette by combining similar colors.

To make the final code easier and better (imo) try to make the same number of slices for every row/column so you dont wind up with 100 spacer gifs.

Use jpeg for skin tones and complex colored slices, and gifs for simple colors. Try all sorts of combo's and you can come up with good quality, and small size, AND fast load time.

The imageready help file is really very well done and easy to browse to find what you want. Check it out.
