Damn Tam, I'd be extremely pissed off if I were you, that definately is a full blown copy of you. They just changed the color on a few of the menu buttons and changed the logo and that's your site !!
That reminds me of the time that someone started up a page with the same title as mine and they even used one of my banners as their header, I jumped on his ass quick, he did change the title around a little bit and got his own header, but shit like that really gets to ya. Like you say though, it's like an honor, but in the same sense, it pissed you off totally. Good luck on taking care of the problem. I don't know if there's anything that you can do. I guess that the first thing that we could do is get him blacklisted for copying. |

How pissed I would be would totally depend on the work or money involved in creating it. I don't think I would ever be cool with someone ripping me off, especially since I do my own graphics, coding, design, etc. I would be more than a little pissed.
Especially since I have zero creativity, coming up with new logos, designs, color schemes, themes, etc. fries millions of brain cells just from sheer effort I'm sure LOL. You may want to e-mail them and just flat out ask them. I had a friend quite some time ago that found a site replicated from one of his. After talking to the guy, he realized that the guy had got it from a free template site. The free template site was the one that actually stole it and it was probably downloaded by hundreds of people. Now that would really piss me off. |

They didn't just 'dublicate' the site they added to it. They have added this sentence: Some of our top webmasters make $20,000 Every two weeks Yes $20,000! Viola! A completely different site. I'm thinking of starting a BBS and calling it "FuckYourSelf.com"  Actually, I felt bad for Tam, so I wrote this short letter to them. Everyone should copy it, and email it to them. You just stole your site from http://webmastercommerce.com/ Why should I join your program if you can't even make your own fucking website to sell your service. Did you think the adult webmaster world was so big that people wouldn't notice. Fucking idiots. Good luck Tam with stopping these pricks. Brian do you also run that site? Thanks guys..... I own the domain, Brian here owns the business........ it's kind of a team effort on our part...... Sooo...... it's ours in a sense I suppose.. however, copying is copying.....
Brian sent him a nice little letter about his work and his pending lawsuit if it wasn't changed ASAP..... I have a feeling I know who did it as this has happened once before and the guy admitted to copying our work. The guy that designed our website is very professional and would never do something like this because he knows what would happen there..... not to mention he has a bit more class than all that. Thanks Redshoe...... that means alot to me babe. Gem... you are always the brain..... I do that same thing with sites with cp, never thought of it here. april.... always the doll.... Oh and Tam...ASAP?? Never use that terminology. Use IMMEDIATELY or take it offline until it's rebuilt.
Take the hard offense from the start and if it did end up in court you have the evidence that there was NO mishy mushy around with the person/s involved. Always save emails to floppy as well so you have the full headers saved with them. Printouts won't be doing much as evidence in court soon. |

if you want to see when a web page was last updated, after you load the site, put the following in the Address/URL box and send it:
javascript:alert(document.lastModified) It will tell you the date and time the page was last modified. This does NOT work if there's a rotating banner ad on the page, as that makes the date/time stamp show the current time, since the ad is the latest modification. On the save to floppy, a electronic version will over ride the printouts since you can manufacture a printout too easily. Its funny to look at the court tv shows and them taking a 'printout' as gospel. lol One of our attorneys advised us to always save as well as print. |

Brian took screenshots of the entire website before he changed it........ funny part? He got a letter from the guy last night that said he was a lawyer himself and he didn't build the site but had a webmaster build it for him....... and then says Brian threatened to kill him........ what he doesn't know is that all correspondence was also carbon copied to me and the only threat made was the court thing....... but then I guess some see that as a death threat, no? HAHAHA I just had a webmaster this morning ask me to review a site of his and he happened to have my page. Didn't change the colors, font, OR my linkcodes and consoles LOL ... Needless to say I told him it should convert fabulously

What site? Am I missing something (entirely likely LOL). If we are still talking about Tam's site, Brian and Tam's site or whatever...Webmaster commerce, then he stole it, Brian. Plain and simple, now how you want to deal with it is the only question. It doesn't look different at all! It's the same site. Now I don't know how you are involved in this I admit I'm a tad confused as to your connection with Tam.
All I know is, she is a working mom (like me), she is one of the few female adult webmasters (like me), she is an honest business woman (like me) and she is a true veteran of the biz (UNlike me lol), so I don't particulary care for anyone fucking her over. If it was handled quietly and professionally...AWESOME! But it needs to be dealt with. Cuz if he steals designs now, he will continue to until he is checked. Plain and simple. |
