the problem with 60's muscle cars
the owners rembember the cars being quicker than they really were.

I remember eating old muscle cars all night long at the dragway with my $14,500 v6 buickhttp://www.meni.net/skip/slayer_rules.JPG

Khun 07-01-2004 03:49 PM

papa cracker 07-01-2004 04:02 PM

think yall got'em all

MeniJennaCash 07-01-2004 04:57 PM

i bought the car
went to the track it was summer
the car runs way quicker in the cold (turbo)
i ran it 8 runs before every touching to modify it
i ran 14.08 bone stock
17 yo kid driving in heat of summer
ran 12s with m&h street slicks and maybe $800 into it
go buy the old mags
see the stock runs on your dinosuars
14s

MeniJennaCash 07-01-2004 05:02 PM

of course they don't look cool
but baby they were geared for the 1/4
and they ate
the vette
the stang
the camaro/trans ams
that's all that mattered to me back then

Gator 07-01-2004 08:53 PM

Thanks for the compliments people!

Nice Mopar Shemp and Mike AI I like the Camaro, but may I suggest some new wheels?

Screaming 07-01-2004 08:56 PM

my fav is the late 60's mustang convertibles

DerekJR321 07-01-2004 09:05 PM

I've gotten spanked by a Grand National at the track. It ran a 12.5 to my 13.2 (My car was at the time a bone stock Trans-Am WS6)

I love old muscle cars. So glad we have a weekly car show by my house. There are literally hundreds of oldies showing up. I'll snap some picks come tuesday.
