They're basing the figures on 2 different things. That Mercedes was based on production costs, rarity and street value.

This Rolls Royce is priced based on age, rarity, uniqueness and... well, just for being a classic of classics.

It's like a watch, I could buy a $5000 watch and be pimp, or I could be a $50,000 watch from 100 years ago and be a collector.

They're both expensive but for different reasons.

Ferrari 250 GTO like the one in the pic have sold at auction for over $15 million dollars before. They are rare because most of the production were used in racing and subsequently wrecked. Beautiful cars.
