So they NDP DON'T hold the balance of power after all??!
Last night CBC closed by showing the NDP with 22 seats, and the Liberals with 135. That combined is a majority in the 308 seat house. My morning newspaper said 135/20, still enough. Now, I'm looking on CBC and it looks like after all the votes were counted, the NDP dropped to 19 seats making them basically useless, seeing as the lone independent is right wing. So what the fuck, Martin has to get the Bloc or the conservatives on his side, great.
Hopefully he'll call another election in 5 months and take back the majority, I predict not much will get done with this setup Oh BTW here's the link: http://www.cbc.ca/canadavotes/ |
