whats the difference between dvd +r -r
i dont get whats the diff, anyone care to elaborate?

I'm not a specialist, but I think that +r can be done on both sides, then -r is only 1 side.

From my experince that there is not much difference between the two, but i have found -r to work in more machines the +r here is a good article to help you make up your own mind which format is better

In addition to psyko514 post, DVD+R is better for backing up data because it has error correction for the full 100% of the disc while error correction on DVD-R discs is limited.
