Can't you just do that by setting up folder sharing?

get someone that knows how to do it and have them show you.

here's a start, but if your asking the question this may not be enough.

Share out a folder on one of the PCs - Call it anything you want - My Shit - works. Look up how to do that in Help.

Make sure both the computers are on the same subnet (Get there IP addresses automatically will solve that if the router is set up for DHCP).

Go to My Network Places on the other PC (the one without the share) and look for the share.

Both computer have to be in the same workgroup - call it WORKGROUP is good. You do that under Properties for MyComputer. Right click My Computer and then properties.
Select Network Identification and go from there.

Good Luck!

I bet Linksys or Netgear have a write up this at their web sites. Prolly with drawings and screen shots.

The router should have come with instructions on the whole procedure.
