Finally saw "Last samurai" and...

I thought it was an excellent film. Very well directed, beautiful locations, cinematography, if you havent seen it I highly recommend it.

yeah. I've been cautious of cruise movies lately, but I have to give the guy due respect here, the movie was amazing.

One of my top 3 or 4 movies of 2003.

I'm not a Tom Cruise fan, but this movie sucked me in and didn't let go.

The only thing I hated was the stupid fucking ending

**SPOILERS**

I hated the fact Tom Cruise's character was the one that lived...he should have died on the battlefield like the rest of the samurai...it felt like a typical Hollywood bullshit ending...fuck that ending...other than that, damn good movie

This was a really good movie, I rented it on Pay Per View a couple of weeks ago and thought it was well done.

Another good one...Master and Commander. Excellent film.

wow i wasn't expecting this kind of results... i thought this movie was terrible... the japanese did not look like real japanese and were not believable, and the fact that tom cruise kills that woman's husband in battle yet she falls for him instantly and there really isnt much believability in this movie at all.... i really did not like it.

Yep I enjoyed that movie. The first 3/4 of the movie was great. Went all downhill at the end But still a 7/10 in my book.

Great movie except the ending, when he stepped in to offer the sword to the emperor.

Great movie.. if he had died it would of been better, but you have to have the 'happy' ending right?

I normally find Tom Cruise utterly unconvincing but there are a couple of exceptions to this. Maybe I will check this one out.

His character wanted to die the entire movie... until he spent time in the village. I personally would of been pissed if his character would of died
