The crew around the president -- Donald Rumsfeld, John Ashhahahahaha, Karl Rove, the ''neo-cons'' like Paul Wolfowitz -- are not as crazy perhaps as Himmler and Goering and Goebbels. Yet like them, they are practitioners of the Big Lie -- weapons of mass destruction, Iraq democracy, only a few ''bad apples.''

Hitler's war was quantitatively different from the Iraq war, but qualitatively both were foolish, self-destructive and criminally unjust. This is a time of great peril in American history because a phony patriotism and an America-worshipping religion threaten the authentic American genius of tolerance and respect for other people.

It never ceases to me how much democrats bitch about the president but when they get their chance, they completely fuck up. Face it, if Slick Willie had kept it in his pants, you would probably never have had to worry about Bush.

no, I think he's comparing the two because of Bush's push to suspend the Geneva Convention and Habeas Corpus. In other words, he wants to be able to put american citizens in jail without giving them access to a lawyer, without telling them or their families what they're charged with, and for an indefinite period. He also wants to be able to wiretap your house and phone lines without a warrant from a judge.

Thankfully, the Supreme Court hasn't become totally conservative (ie stupid) and they put a stop to it yesterday 8-1

but you keep voting for him boy!! You guys are soooo much smarter than us liberals eh?

oh yeah, we fuck up all right. We balanced the budget and eliminated the deficit, brought peace to Ireland and nearly Israel and had the economy running at hyperspeed. We were loved and respected nearly the whole world over.
