Just speced out this new system.....
I've decided to build a new video editing machine and am considering the following components. Before I make my purchase I would like some input. Do you have any experience or knowledge of these products? Good, bad, or indifferent opinions are welcome.

Hmm.. I can put a machine together, but as for choosing the components, I'm not the greatest at it.
But I'd have to say that I certainly wouldn't mind owning a system like that |

I just got this SOYO Dragon motherboard with looks like similar specs to that Asus. I like the SOYO coz it has the SATA plus 4 IDA/RAID connectors so I can hook up a shitload of drives to it.

only thing about the monitors, you might want to consider buying their dual display stand... the feet take up a bit of space.

That's a sweet editing system, but top dollar I'm sure! I'm still making do with a six month old 2.6 Ghz Dell Dimension 8300 with the 875P chipset, a single 19" monitor and just a gig and a quarter of RAM plus a terrabyte worth of external Maxtor drives hooked into a firewire hub.
