I don't know if I was just brought up differently than everyone else or what...but it goes like this. I look first at what a person has to say...BEFORE I look at their sig. If they are being an ass, then I don't care if they have an ARS sig or another sponsors..they are an ass. If they make a good quality post, or amuse me in some way...then they are ok in my books and I don't care what sig they are flying.

I guess what irritates me is the ARS bashing all of the time, grouping every person who flew their button as some sort of sig whore, trailer park trash. That is simply not the case.

Take for instance pimpdogs program. Man that guy chapped my ass...but if someone flew his programs banner and they were nice..I didn't hate them simply because of the program banner.

Look ... there was like 500 people sporting ARS sigs ... there is like 10 now that were posting that still are . I think we can judge very easly and put them all in a basket ...

The main problem with ars in the beginning was that all the quality posts/business posts moved off the first page in the blink of an eye. While every "would you hit it" thread would stay on top forever with a few smileys in every post. After ars lowered their payouts things went better.

It's all trial and error for sponsor programs also, the ars button was never intended for message board use in the first place

Long and short of it is.... sigs are a privilege, not a right.

If you abuse that privilege, it will be taken away... you learn that lesson as children, or at least should.

This decision to allow "per impression" purchases of sig is an extension of that privilege.

So long as it's not abused, everyone will be happy. End of story.

good point...however, I don't think GFY should be solely responsible for monitoring this, it should be monitored by sig buyers as well. Hard to keep track though if you buy a lot of sigs.

pay per post is the future. You will see deals like Sleazy getting $10 a post but will only be allowed to post 200 times a month. then you will see Juicy getting $3.50 a post but he can only post 3,000 times a month.
