But if you have to get the job to be given the intel, then your arguement is a catch-22.

Besides, the only intel Bush cares about is the bible.

Cmon think rationally, look at the long line of politicians who are privy to intell before assuming their role. They come from a long line of political familys and associates.

just curious as to your educational and political career credentials to make such statements and observations...

Most politicans come from the private sector and do not have politicans for parents.

The only requirement for holding office is to convince enough people to vote for you.

Politicans are not elite. Few civilized countries treat them as such. I don't know why so many americans want to treat them like royalty.

Personally, I am in favor of stricter requirements. I want mutliple independently verified mandatory genius IQ scores. I want independently verified 'A+' grades on post-graduate world history, current events, science, and sociology testing.

That way people like GW, with more money and personal-connections than common sense, couldn't even get on the ballot; no matter how many times they invoke the name Jesus.

Didn't say any partisan issue with draft - just that if everyone between the ages of 18 - 30 registered to vote they could maybe impact their representatives to change it.

This is the age group of the smallest percentage of those who are registered to vote - and smallest percentage of those who actually vote.

Their are 21 million single women in that age group that are not registered to vote.

That has to be one of the funniest arguments yet. Bush has more access to top secret information than us so everything he does is justified.

Using that logic, no president can ever do anything wrong. It's all being done for your own good for reasons you are too uninformed to understand.

George Orwell had you in mind. :1orglaugh

chowda 06-25-2004 10:13 PM

whomever can appeal to the stupidity of the masses will control them

WWC 06-25-2004 11:09 PM

it will effect his votes....all Bush supporters hate it....and so do i ....Bush Sucks !

latinasojourn 06-25-2004 11:47 PM

i saw the movie tonight.

much of it is irrelevant vilification of bush, but moore does make a few solid points. anyone can take sound bites out of context to make someone else look like a fool---that is not a "documentary".

but, if anyone has half a brain a few points will resonate with voters, if the facts the moore presents are actually true.

the main point that comes across is that american taxpayers are not getting good ROI---the price is too high for the value received.

and, we are not becoming loved in the arab world because of the invasion of iraq, we have not become "safer" because of it, and the entire premise for launching the war was a sham.

is bush an "evil" man---i don't think so, but...

the real reason we are fucking around in iraq is not about iraq's political system---it is mostly a grudge match between an american president who had his father personally threatened by a dictator, and he orchestrated a reason to even the score.

and the secondary reason has to do with one word---oil, otherwise we would not give a shit about the camel jockeys.

Look we can argue politics all fuckin day and noone in the end will be right. But honestly, NONE of you are remotely capable of being a political figure head or understanding the complexity of politics.
Damn...thank you for that.
wtf....so bush does not get re elected...then what?
So much more going on than most people can even understand.
Oh well.....
So many spins...I am dizzy...

When it comes to bush and Moore's movie, there's only one thing I hope.

It's that whoever said that there's no such thing as bad publicity has it all wrong.

ADL Colin 06-26-2004 02:28 AM

I think it was released too early to have much of an effect. I would assume with all the hype this film will get that most of its audience will see it early. I think the conventions, choice of VP, developing situation in Iraq and the economy will have a much greater effect.

Latest Gallup poll has essentially a tie between the two candidates. Considering how polarized this election is - the Moore movie and press might just cement it further.

Just got back from seeing Fahrenheit 9/11 - it's a very enlightening documetary. Just confirms a lot of the stuff I already suspected.

Everyone owes it to themselves to go see Fahrenheit 9/11 and pass the word along to others, as I am doing here.

When we came out of the theatre we were handed "deception dollars" - another way to spread the word. Check it out for yourself http://deceptiondollar.com/7/DD7.htm

Also, anyone who is a US Citizen and is 18 years or older up to 35 years old should be very interested in voting and then getting active in stopping the new Draft Bill in congress since you'll probably all be drafted - there will be no school deferments, no hardship deferments and women as well as men will be drafted.

What draft bill?

You sure? There are a hell of a lot of people who still support him.

I just saw a very brief interview with Michael Moore late last night and it sounds like he has some info on the Bush Family that is going to fuck their shit up BIG TIME. I wouldn't be surprised if this movie stopped Bush from being re-elected :2 cents:

Who is "Buch" ?
