It's a good book but not entirely dedicated to NL holdem. It covers draw poker, stud, lowball, razz, hi-lo, limit, and no limit holdem. It's about 600 pages in length. It is definitely a good addition to any poker library. The NL holdem section is about 100 pages in length.

You might also want to check out Sklansky's Hold Em for Advanced Players

Its good. Its really the first Poker book you need to read.

However beware, the agressive style he promotes might get you in a lot of trouble, specially playing online Poker, where it is more difficult to read opponents.

Read also Phil Hellmuth's "Playing poker like the pros" his approach is a bit more conservative and better suited for beginers.

The other good thing is that is has a whole appendix of poker statistics/odds.

Sklanskys books have great information but he's not a great writer and a "dryer" read than Brunson.

The only real valuable information I got out of super system was Chip Reese's section on 7 card stud.

I didn't learn much from the hold em sections.

Hellmuth's book isn't bad, and while Sklansky is really hard to follow sometimes, almost anything he puts out is worth a read (and a re-read, and another re-read)
