What are you really pissed about? Their coverage of topical events or the fact that they make money, or the fact that they are doing those stores a favor to try and give some perspective on the HUGE GLUT of products being offered?

I stand on the other side of just about everything Kernes has said for years. I still respect his right to an opinion. I still respect the publishers for running the business the way they do.

no I look out for the small companies out there. I don't hate them cuz they make money. They have a monopoly and they take advantage of it. that's all

I have to agree with on kearns. he's the best thing that could have happened to AVN. The old CEO was bad IMO

The cloest strip club to the hotel is Cheeta's on Hallendale. Scalrett's is just west of them also on Hallendale and is one of the best clubs in S. Florida. There's a small club whose name I forget, further west and Tootsies is on 441 way west :). Solid Gold is south, and Pure Platinium is north in Forth Lauderdale. There's also Miami Gold and I think the new club Diamonds is not too far, further then Scarlett's but closer then Tootsies.

Not like I've been to any of these or anything :1orglaugh

There is no monopoly. They just were the first to the game and have done it better, longer, and bigger than anyone else.

Bottom line, they bend over backwards for "the little guy" every day. Unfortunately, time and time again, those "little guys" bite the hand that feeds them.

Ok I understand the "rules" set forth by the hotel. However, from what I can gather, it's ok to break these rules if you have a booth? Correct me if I am wrong here. And if that is the case it really does suck!

And please, they are making money off of it just like anyone else. It may not be much, but they are not walking away empty handed.

In any event, wouldn't you say Klixx competes fairly directly with AVN ONLINE and that it is not owned by AVN? That dispels the notion of any sort of monopoly, doesn't it? Anyway, just because no one else can do what they do doesn't mean they have a monopoly.

Well since we are talking about AVN, let' mention the "politics" involved.

Two years ago we had the Player Hater Ball in Vegas, 5 of the six sponsors of the party had booths at the AVN show. When we contacted AVN about putting up the party on the web site, they were shocked that we were asking because of the "controversy" we had with the Players Ball. You would think they would have asked D$ about it but no they did not. We SUPPORTED D$ and the Players Ball as they have us over the years but AVN said that we could not be an AVN party, remember 5 of the six sponsors were booth holders !

I also remember a few years ago AVN telling a company they could not have a suite unless they got a booth, do you remember that booth ??

I also find it odd that the Venetian doesn't do this...
I wonder if the Westin was really in a bad spot after the last show..especially after all the hotel people had told me how much they love our business and our show-
It's the one thing they look forward to all year.

I will say that the Westin sucks when it comes to overcharging and fucking with credit cards- the same thing happened to me that happened to Billy.

I won't tolerate fraud by any hotel, whether it be at a tradeshow or personal travels...

I had my miscellaneous charges removed as well-
But they do SEE US COMING so be careful...

This has nothing to do with AVN- it's a Westin issue.
