Nobel Winners Back Kerry, Say Bush Ignores Science

The scientists, who included 2003 chemistry winners Peter Agre and Roderick MacKinnon, accused the Bush administration of undermining America's future by reducing funding for science and turning away scientific talent with restrictive immigration policies.

"John Kerry will change all this," they said. "John Kerry will restore science to its appropriate place in government."

Jesus Kerry doesn't even have to campaign anymore, people are lining up to endorse him because they hate Bush so much. I guess removing the word evolution from the classroom is no way to win over the scientific community.

They just don't want to cause an uproar too soon.

For sure, like the catholic church. Not much of a wonder to me why technology increased 1000 fold over the first centuries where the church wasn't controlling governments. Not teaching evolution = modern day 'the earth is flat'.

I don't see why religious people can't just be religious and keep it to themselves and their families, instead of pushing it on other people and into places like science and education.

Maybe, but right now I think it's 86% of Republicans and 14% of Democrats who approve of Bush, about the most partisan approval rating ever and a near deadlock head to head.
