I'm no expert, but make sure you get a truck. The rc cars are way too low. I own one and the pebbles tend to fuck up the ride when going 50+MPH.

I've had the new T-Maxx 2.5 and the Savage .21, both are really good trucks. But nothing jumps like a Savage, its awesome for big air.

I raced a Serpent 950 (with a Novarossi R1) all last year. My ex would build and maintain the cars for me I just drove it
Had lots of fun but there were no other girls into the hobby so I gave up on it

The engine was good for about one 10 min run, because we had to use such high nitro content to get it to work at all.
