How many military deaths is acceptable?

This question is mainly directed at supporters of war.

Let's say Bush or any other president, says that some country is a threat just like Iraq. Maybe Iran or Arabia or something... And we decide to invade them as well.

Assume that this country turns out to be a much tougher job.

How many troops dying would be an acceptable rate, until US decides to pull out because of the losses?

10 per day? 100? 1000?

We're lucky that we're averaging only 1 per day right now.

The military would tell you that 0 fatalities is all they will tolerate.

I said until the number of losses becomes a reason for pulling out.

We have more than 0 now, and it seems to be tolerated, as we are not pulling out because of it.

Shit man, how complicated is my question.

But your question has been answered, indirectly.

0 is all they will tolerate, and yet... there they are.

The truth of the matter is, the more they lose, the more they'll stay. It's a driving factor I think. If not a single US soldier died, if the people cheered..... well, I think the US would have pulled out a long time ago.

that still doesnt answer my main question

i'm not asking about toleration. i'm asking how many deaths it takes to have the military pulled out. how hard is that to understand?

obviously less than 1000 and more than 1, right?

but what would happen at a rate of 10 per day or 100? can you tell?

Like I said.. if you had read all of my post... the more fatalities, the more they stay. If they had 10 per day, they'd just send more troops.

if there was 0 per day, they'd have left by now.

that is only true for countries that can easily be defeated.

if you can't slow down the deaths by sending more troops, then you will have no choice but pull out.

You're asking when the US would wave the white flag? Not likely until they ran low on draftees...
