Your soul or total self has non physical equivalents of physical senses as well as other methods of awareness for operating at higher levels of consciousness.

Convenient.

I'd love to see a non-physical eye.

Imagine your mind right now.

Now release your consciousness and allow it to float.

Start to fly around the room with just your mind.

Now go through the walls. Your mind can do this even though your physical body can not.

See your body is an extension of your mind, your consciouness your soul, not the other way around.

At night when you dream you do this easily without even thinking about it.

You're able to connect with other souls past and present because you've left the physical world and entered the higher dimensions where everything is based on the mind only without the restrictions and limitations of a body.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:23 PM How you doin'...

Me 4/6/2004 1:23 PM not good

Me 4/6/2004 1:25 PM fucking depressed again today

g0d 4/6/2004 1:25 PM Shit happens...make the effort you can make
and realize in the span of space and
time...we're just babies.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:25 PM What can I do...

Me 4/6/2004 1:26 PM nuthin' I gues.... guess I just gotta ride it
out

g0d 4/6/2004 1:27 PM Yeah man...living...its the only game going.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:28 PM You're gonna think I'm weird but...

g0d 4/6/2004 1:29 PM An eternity ago there was a single point of
existence...it was all that was, all that ever
had been and all that ever would be. And it
was aware of this.

Me 4/6/2004 1:30 PM hmmm

g0d 4/6/2004 1:30 PM It was the everything and the nothing. Some
call it god.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:30 PM It felt that a life being all that was, is,
would be...was quite frankly...boring.

Me 4/6/2004 1:31 PM deep

g0d 4/6/2004 1:31 PM It decided to shatter itself into infinite
pieces.

*BOOM*

The big bang happened.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:32 PM Its feeling was that in oder to bask in the
coolness that being everything that was, is,
would be...could be...it needed a way to live
that, feel that, experience that...

g0d 4/6/2004 1:33 PM Thus by way of division it could allow all
that was to know all that was...as bit and
pieces of itself collided, and interacted with
other bits and pieces of itself it could
experience itself from every angle.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:34 PM These pieces that shattered outwardly,
infinitely are all that is...dirt, dogs, cats,
planets, people, farts, etc....

Me 4/6/2004 1:35 PM that's pretty heavy man

g0d 4/6/2004 1:35 PM It then found that this was not enough...it
was experiencing itself on every imaginable
level, on every possible order, on every
possible dimension...

g0d 4/6/2004 1:36 PM but since it new what was what, who was
who...that it was it...it got bored again.
But this initial creation was so exciting for
the first time...it wanted to do it
again...over and over and over again...

g0d 4/6/2004 1:37 PM So it decided to forget itself.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:39 PM So, the process of re-creation continues each
and every second of every moment of now. The
process of assembling again each member of
itself...the re-membering, happens each and
every day, every second of every moment of
now.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:41 PM In each piece of itself is the ability to
enjoy fully, RECREATION and REMEMBERING. As
each piece realizes and remembers that it is
god, it is the it of it, the all of it, the
all of all...happiness and supreme joy is
found. Long lost friends become again a part
of the UNIT, they REUNITE.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:42 PM There is no death, no dying, good, bad, right,
wrong, left, right, evil, good, young,
old...only the process of remembering and
recreating the experience of coming to know
oneself.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:43 PM Scientists see this as one of the basic laws
of physics...matter cannot be created nor
destroyed, it only changes forms. But with
each change a memory, an imprint is left...

g0d 4/6/2004 1:44 PM This way the joy of remembering is supreme.
Something partially forgotten is recalled...

g0d 4/6/2004 1:49 PM All the memories, all the knowledge, all the
experiences of the it are stored in each
single fragment of it...the soul of everything
is connected...you are not you, you are not
hoax, you are god...a tiny fragment of
everything that is. A singularity of the
energy that rules and comprises the universe.
You cannot fail, you can refuse to play the
game. But its the only game going. The
sooner you choose to RE-MEMBER, the sooner you
choose to RE-CREATE by making the decision in
every second of every moment of now to become
the next and grander version of yourself is
the sooner you realize that its all a game,
its the only game going...and you make the
rules.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:49 PM Play. recreate. remember. make the rules.
Living. Its the only game going...

g0d 4/6/2004 1:51 PM In the span of time and space we are babies,
ever born unto a new moment of now...we have
chosen to forget who we are so that we can
have a blast remembering. Wake up, remember,
and recreate the next newest and grandest
version of you that you can possibly imagine.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:53 PM Fold your cards and you will find yourself at
another table, minus the ante, with the same
exact hand you had before. Ante up, play the
game, go all in.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:54 PM Call me when you're ready to remember.
I have all the answers, just
like you.

g0d 4/6/2004 1:54 PM I'm going to shower now...my ass stinks.

you my friend have a very good understanding !!!!!! awesome post!

More than convenient, it's the only way to fly!

You use non physical senses whenever you practise deep meditation or prayer or every night when you "fall" asleep. The very process of falling asleep is you leaving your body. Many people have experienced the paralysis or vibrations that occur at the start of this state. Or the butterflies in stomach feeling on a rollercoaster as our body and soul becomes slightly separated.

Society is full of expressions hinting that we are not our bodies.

"He was beside himself with rage"
"Sorry say that again, my mind was a thousand miles away"

etc etc

Haven't you been driving to work and wondered if you locked the door or turned off the oven or thinking about something and suddenly realized you don't remember driving the last 10 miles because your mind was somewhere else, yet you still managed to stop at the traffic lights and make the right exit?

If you watch yourself falling asleep each night, with practise you will become aware that you are indeed pure energy and not that body snoring on the bed.

Still strange that there was lost of bodyweight

I don't think the soul is a mass in the body, I think it is somehow connected within the body but lies in a different dimension. The weight loss thing I have no answer for and it may not mean a thing, but it is interesting.

After 30 years you must have realized that a soul, your conscious self needs a brain to function?? A brain that no longer works when you die.

This shows how ignorant you really are.

Why do you insist on continuing to talk about something you know nothing about?

Thats sort of like saying your a train moving at 100+ MPH and you jump up in the air. Would yu get slammed agaisnts the back wall of the train. Things in motion stay in motion, you are traveling at the same speed as the train and you would land in the same spot you jumped from.

And if the birds were flying in the free space of the plain there is no added weight, there for the plain would not be 2 tons lighter or heavier.

Hello?
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone home?
Come on, now.
I hear you're feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain,
Get you on your feet again.
Relax.
I need some information first.
Just the basic facts,
Can you show me where it hurts?
There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're sayin'.
When I was a child I had a fever.
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I got that feeling once again.
I can't explain, you would not understand.
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb.
Ok.
Just a little pinprick.
There'll be no more ...Aaaaaahhhhh!
But you may feel a little sick.
Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working. Good.
That'll keep you going for the show.
Come on it's time to go.
There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're sayin'.
When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse,
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone.
I cannot put my finger on it now.
The child is grown, the dream is gone.
I have become comfortably numb.

If this thread proves anything it's that people just have no idea about how complex the human brain is.

When people talk about souls, what they really mean to say is the brain.

You know what's really cool? You don't need to take my or anyone elses word for it. You also don't need to wait til you die to prove it one way or the other or until dear departed Uncle harry gives you a "sign" from the great beyond. Read more about it and practise until you experience it yourself.

That way it isn't - a pile or crap
- a reasonable explanation
- a belief

but rather a known, something that you know to be real and true because you have first hand experience.

Then when someone tells you it's not real, you can respect their opinion but inside know that they might as well have said "the sky isn't blue" or something else that you know to be fact.

I used to believe that the stars and planets in our universe were charged particles inside galaxies (molecules), which made up one large particle inside of a much larger universe. I imagined that our universe was but one tiny bit of matter inside a giant's coffee table in that much larger universe.

Lately I have learned that our universe is expanding at a certain rate, which led me to alter my theory somewhat. I now think that we are a tiny particle inside a piece of chewing gum, and some giant and rather hot teen babe model is blowing a bubble right now in that much larger universe. Since our universe is part of that bubble, our universe expands with the bubble. In the time it takes this giant teen model to blow that bubble and burst it, approximately 450 million of our years are passing.

We have about 25 minutes left before the bubble bursts. Who wants to fuck?

You know, your opinon is but an unproven belief too. You come off sounding like your belief is the only one that could be right, and it's making you look foolish.

if we are, then the possibilities are endless. qouting "The Beach" by alex garland (not verbatim, but this is how it went)--if you believe that the universe is infinite, then there are infinite possibilites as well.

kinda out of topic, but i got reminded of it.

Are you suggesting that the "mind's eye" has nothing to do with the brain?

Not at all. I am merely suggesting that this whole "when your brain dies, you die, period, no afterlife, no spirit, no soul..... nothingness... end of story" isn't the only belief that could be right. It is as unproven as any other belief.

That's all.

There are those who believe in souls, gods, eternal life and fairies at the bottom of the garden.

And then there are those who believe in things that are real, tangible and part of the physical world.

I stopped believing in fairy tales a long time ago.

Since there is still much that science can not explain, still so much of the past that it can only theorize on, and so much that occurs all over the planet that is unexplainable, some of it amazing, miraculous and astounding...... I would say your belief system is a little too hard and fast for my liking.

The only 'fact' you really should face is that you don't know everything. Until you do, I really am recommending that you quit acting so superior and smug.

Just because science can not explain everything right now that doesn't mean we should resort to fairy tales like the supernatural.

When you resort to the supernatural in an argument or to back up your point of view, you've already lost.

It is proven that you, your identity, who you are, what you know, how you act, your personaility, and everything else that can be defined as what makes somebody an independent unique concious being is controlled by your brain.

It is proven you can alter who a person is by altering their brain.

It is proven that when you die, your brian rots and insects lay their eggs in it.

When did I refer directly to the supernatural? My argument encompasses religious and spiritual beliefs as well as that, along with everything else that is ominous and inexplicable out there.

If it turns out we do possess a soul and there is an afterlife, which of us is already wrong?

My ultimate point to you is, respect the beliefs of others rather than slamming your opinion down like it is the end-all/be-all. Clear enough? Are you picking up what I'm laying down here?

What is proven about the soul?

You too sound very superior and smug in what you think you know. I worked in health care for over 15 years, and have witnessed much reality. One former patient is on the books as a documented resurection, having been clinically dead for 20 minutes before reviving. For those whose brains are already being eaten by insects, it means he was dead for 20 minutes. Then he woke up. He lived for several years beyond that death, and he spoke of things he saw during his away time.

Bottom line... and I'm not going to continue debating this because on this point I know I am right....... we don't know everything. Three or Four billion people living on this planet right now think there is some sort of god, untold billions of people in history believed the same thing. To say with any certainty that "this is the way it is and all else is for idiots" is certainly a good way to become an empty unfullfilled know-it-all who ends up dying alone. Why? Because people like that are fucking annoying.

Personally, I choose to believe in a higher power than myself and that there is an afterlife. If I'm wrong there will be no regrets, while if you're wrong......

You believe what you do for psychological reasons.

I understand.

You are entitled to believe any mumbo jumbo you like. Doesn't make it real.

Do you ever wonder:

What happens to the apple after it falls from the tree?
What happens to the fly after you swat it?
What happens to the cat after you hit it with your car?
What happens to the bird after it dies?
What happens to the chimpanzee after it dies?
What happens to the dolphin after it dies?

I believe what I believe for my own reasons, same as you. The difference is, I am not so annoying and retardedly smug and superior about my beliefs.

I respect others. You have no such respect. This lack of respect or tolerance for the beliefs of others is common among those who think like you. Is it coincidence? I doubt it.

Good luck to you, continued success and all that mumbo jumbo.

So many young and unenlighted souls here. At least begin to allow your minds to open to the possibilities of the higher dimensions. One day you will understand and it will make sense.

Humans are too arrogant and fragile with their own mortality to believe we are not special enough to not have an afterlife or supreme being watching over us (never mind the arrogance that in this entire vast universe, our crappy little planet is the only place where life exists). It is a crutch used to justify their existence and actions, as well as to hide from their fears. Organized religion exploits this part of human nature, and is the ultimate form of population control.

That should read: "At least begin to allow your minds to open to the possibilities of the human brain."

Especially its capacity to conceive of all kinds of delusional nonsense!
