Should I switch my TGP from 88x88 to 90x120 ?

My TGP is currently 88x88 .. you can see it here: http://www.coedcherry.com

I'm thinking of moving to 90x120 .. the point would be to increase productivity. I've made a "proto-type" screenshot of what it would look like if I made the move.

I've got about 1,000 galleries that would need to be re-thumbed.

What do you think? First of all, which do you prefer? And secondly .. do you think the increase in productivity would be worth it ?

Your prod is just ok at hqgal, so upping your size wont hurt too much in terms of outgoing prod.
i say go for it, your clicks will increase A LOT

Try it and see...do a test for a week..you might burn a bit more bandwidth but if it helps productivity ,go for it

Should increase your production. It is a lot easier to get a good looking thumb in 90x120 format.

You also might not burn to much more. If you have a grid of 10x10 with 88x88 and make it 8x7 with 90x120 then you are showing about the same ammount of data.

Is that long term or just over the last day or so ? I switched my TGP script over the weekend so all my click counters were reset etc. Prod. went all to hell over the weekend and traffic dropped 25% ... but it's picking back up now. This morning all is about the same as before I made the switch .. should only go up now.

Madthumbs - has been around for AGES
BunnyTeens - has been around for AGES
TeenieFiles - run by the ND guys now so who knows how much feeder is going into it + TONS of bookmarks.

Making a HUGE 88x88 site nowadays is impossible unless your pockets are VERY deep.

Sure. It's too much work and I don't think it'll increase the productivity. It's just not worth it, okay?
