    Family death ......

    I just found out that my wifes grandfather just died today. On fathers day of all days.
    He served in WWII, in MacArthur's personal staff and was a community leader when he came home. He lived with constant pain for about 3 months and now he is free from it. I didnt know him very well but he loved his adopted country and served it proudly. God bless him and all World War II vets.



    I dont know why I posted this kind of info on this board, I guess I just needed an outlet.

                  My thoughts will be with your family. Your wifes grandfather was obviously nothing less than a hero. Both my grandfathers are now gone... I'm 32 and both my Grandfathers were aviators in WWII. I miss them greatly but sleep better at night knowing they fought to protect our countries.

                          It's my grandmother's birthday today.... on Father's day... and her father died. How messed up is that?

                          My great grandfather... just 4 months after my grandfather passed away. My family is shrinking fast.

                          So I know how you must be feeling. It didn't turn out to be much of a day for celebration.

                              Thanks Jenn, hope things go well with your grandfather. My wife is taking it in stride, her family knew it was coming but didnt think this soon.
