Is there anyway you can find out if a domain you picked up was banned by google?
Or anyway of telling before you buy it if it was banned? |

If it is active do a search for domain.com and see if Google says it exists.

Check archive.org to see what was on there before. Happened to me once...bought a domain that was already banned and now it gets zero search engine traffic.
