Today I got annoyed yet again by, amongst others, the NaughtyJenn banner. No offence Jenn, but I really think the sound should stop when 'mouseout'. What are your fellings regarding this matter?

Honestly they need to drop the pointless disturbing sounds, it's very annoying and does not do anything for them on the business level. I understand the bg music or other strategic voice explanations of what their program has to offer.
Earlier today I had some family over, I decided to check what was happening on the board - only to be welcomed by loud moans "OH MY GOD I'M CUMMINGGGGGGGGGG". This shit is just not right when you have fucking family or little kids around wondering what the fuck that was.

#1 problem is that the sound in flash banners are usually too loud.
When I make flash banners with sound i always edit the sounds to be a lot quieter than they are just because I know a lot of times people have their speakers jacked up.
fade in and fade outs are important too, especially with music.
lastly like you said, on(rollOut){ turn the damn sound off }

That "oh my god I'm cumming" banner and the other loud moaning banner is the type of thing that will make me not visit GFY unless I'm at home. I do most of my GFY viewing from other places. I feel bad for the folks that work at home with kids bouncing around or parents in town.
A lot of us deal with video but at least we know when the sound is coming. With this it comes completely by surprise. That doesn't make me click, that makes me shut the page down.
Lens, do something about that please. Music = Ok / Crazy sound effects = OK
