Has Visa killed CCbill

CCbill is turning into a sad joke for me stats are all over the place for programes that have been my main income for years. I have a feeling that things are going change and the rats are packing.

CCBill scrubbing is rediculous these days... if your sales are growing it's because you're working harder and pulling more traffic.

Fact of the matter is that alot of valid cards are being declined, and it's because of the new visa chargeback regulations.

Not just by CCBill though... alot of other processors are pretty bad too.

I'm thinking the opposite. I'm seeing kilelr ratios, record sales and tons of rebills. If this is the summer slowdown, I can only hope that it'll come to a crawl!

That's the silliest thing I've read here today.
If someone fails the scrubbing, the site owner receives a decline notice. We get about3/week, which is totally insignificant.

My stats are a little down because of the summer slowdown I guess (ok some days a LOT down) but I really don't see CCBill as the culprit. My decline rate is more or less constant.

Overall the summer is working out OK for me albeit nowhere near as blistering as February/March.

In my view its just 10,000 paysites being launched a day and too much free porn, Kaaza and all the newsgroups, etc.

But overall I'm happy with CCBill and still seeing a good conversion rate, but yeah, have to work harder and smarter every day and invent new content or it all get stale and dies.

Keep in mind CCBill looses free money with every decline. They aren't going to throw away sales for absolutely no reason.

you guys would be amazed at the volume we push. How else would we have an 11.5% rate through ccbill?

3 what ? scrubbed sales ?

So many people I know got their card refused ... if you get 3 a week then you get probably 2-3 signups .

I got a program that shows me scrubbed sales and its actually higher ammount then the one approved .

When you own a paysite, then your experiences will be more relevant

We get about 3 declines overall/week, and I promise you that we do more than 2-3 signups

I don't know about you guys but stats for all ccbill sites have been down for me for about three days. I've tried going through a few proxy servers, some work and some don't depending on where the proxy is hosted.

I'll give you a simple stat: 199 attempted signups yesterday with ccbill, 72 declines. Thats what I had for FTV. Hard scrubbing (1/3 of my signups!!!!) or a lot of people with stolen cards??

Well I wasnt talking about paysite traffic ...

But for 350 $ of sales daily, 450 $ get scrubbed . Thats the stats I got .

You might consider the source of your traffic.
Also, is your traffic going directly to ccbill, or does the surfer give his info to the sponsor, who then passes it on to ccbill via a back end script?

Dude, there will be at least 40% declines. No matter what.
Most of the surfers are not familiar with purchasing anything online. So they forget to enter their info properly then or they just mistype their CC.

There is no way in hell you can see anything over 95% success rate. Its just not possible.
And if you say you are doing lots of sales and only get 3 declines per week then i say you are full of shit.

I am used to a few daily declines - Usually around 7%.
Last week my declines ran at very close to 50% - Never, have I seen a decline ratio like that and I have been going since 96.

My theory is ccbill have a ratio to keep to, and if the bigger guys go well over that ratio, they make it up by screwing the smaller guy - As I said - Just a theory.

That's insane. I wish affiliates could see the decline stats as well... I'd like to know how many potential sales I've had.

I'm getting a few refunds lately and my first ever ccbill chargeback last month.. which just floored me. I've never had any refunds or chargebacks since I started in November.. and then all of a sudden last month like 3 refunds and 1 chargeback. Knocked me off my chair.

I wonder if that's an indicator as to why they're scrubbing so hard now. Maybe they've had a lot of refunds and chargebacks.

The theory that any processor is scrubbing that much more to work on chargebacks doesn't hold water.

If you don't do as many transactions or more every month versus the previous month, then your ratios will climb even if the number of cb's stays the same.

I also would think that any processor would want to push as many transactions through as they could, since they lose money on declines, since they still pay a fee to get the authorization.

There is no way in hell you're only getting three a week if you're doing even minimal sales. IMPOSSIBLE!

I don't care how "good the traffic" is. It's fucking impossible. You can get more then three declines a week just on people who have one card declined and then whip out ANOTHER card. That's not including people with no money and from foreign countries.
