Wrong, no law enforcement gives a shit about that. I just watched cops tonight. They pulled over 2 kids smoking blunts and driving around. Found a full rolled up blunt and some roaches. 3 years for an ounce. There are some states with fucked up drug laws, but 3 years for what would be classified as "personal consumption" and not "intent to distribute".
I know someone who was recently busted in his house with 100+ plants and a shotgun. He got 6 months because he's a parolee and isn't allowed to have a firearm. Pot charges were completely dropped. The bust didn't even make the news or newspapers.
