Its a great service...about the only problem with it is it opens a few holes in your network unless your running behind a real firewall. (not a $80 router)

Had it for about 2 months.. got a line with 500 minutes + 800 # for $20 a month.. best part if I got to tell bell south to FUCK OFF... the phone companies have been giving shitty service for too long...
Not only does the service work well, but when you make a change it's INSTANT...
example is when I added my 800 number... not 30 seconds after I made the request on their website did I try the number and IT WORKED... now that's service I'll pay for!!

I just meant that the majority of consumer level routers dont have the basic traffic monitoring to detect it. I mean its not the end of the world hole it opens but it is a security flaw and you never know who is watching.

Concur, BUT the one flaw I see is when my cable modem is down. OK, I do get the voicemail... but, I am spoiled.
Anyways, Vonage with cell phone as backup is genious. I have three lines coming in using Vonage and loving it...
