I have no fucking idea what you are talking about. I am not defending anyone. I could not give a fuck what happens in South Africa and who kills who. I was just saying that it should not come as a huge surprise that blacks want to oppress and kill whites now that they can. Seems very logical to me.

F.W. de Klerk single handedly had a bigger impact on the end of apartheid than the United Nations ever could have had.

By the way. White South Africans didn't want Apartheid to end? I'm sure the National Party didn't want it to end, but you should probably inform yourself of the facts before you open your mouth!

No, because i already knew of the referendum. I already knew that the majority of white people had voted in favour of ending apartheid. Sorry, in future i won't back up my claims with evidence.

that did not happen over night. i am 34 years old and can remember this issue without my google search bar. it took a long time to strike apartheid down and the whole world was putting pressure on them to do it. it's not like S.A. people just woke up one day and said "oh.. this is some fucked up shit, we need to stop it" before any damage was done.

There have been white people fighting for the rights of black people in South Africa long before it even became a blip on the UN's radar. South African people don't give a fuck what anybody else thinks. They did what they wanted to do because they thought it was right. There has been white opposition to apartheid since before you were born! Of course it didn't happen overnight, but my point is that it was ultimately africans that decided what happened; not the UN.

Anyone who assumes someone is racist simply due to the name of the real estate on which he/she was born, is committing the very act they want to think they're condemning. Most white Africans are peaceful folk. What is going on there is terrible to both the white Africans and the silent majority of indigenous Africans. *Absolutely* we should be stepping in and helping. We won't, but we should. We aren't doing anything because they're white, which speaks to the deep problems of racialism in the west. We should also be helping in the Sudan. We're not doing that for racial reasons, too.

There's no such thing as the "Indian", "Jewish" and "Arab" "races". Jews and many Arabs (except for Persians and a few other examples) are of the same race. They're genetically identical. Indians (East India people) are a phase between African and Asian, with more African than Asian. There's no such thing as a "white" race, there is only a caucasian sub-race that is a mixture of both African and Asian genetics. In other words, we're all mixtures of everything - particularly white people.

We're all just one endless genetic "polyglot" from one extreme to another.

As for Native Americans, there aren't enough full-blood NAs to fit in a 747. The rest of us are mixed heritage. Very few of us have ties to a reservation...most do not. Many tribes have no reservation designation at all.

And the Canadian indigenous folk are no better or worse off than the US ones. I know. I read Council Fires from both sides. We all have the same complaints (which are very similar to the complaints from everyone else).

Uhh, no. That is not my point at all. I love how you try to twist my words around, though. What white people have done to black people in Africa in the past is horrendous. However, blaming the current generation of white people for what's happened is ridiculous. Afterall, not only these people not those that were have opressed black people for hundreds of years, these are the people that were trying to end opression of black people by advancing their freedom (ending apartheid, finally allowing black people to vote, etc).

You cannot blame the current generation for the sins of the past, especially when they are trying to right past wrongs.

You say things like "payback's a bitch" in regards to women, children and hardworking farmers being raped, beaten and murdered in the most brutal ways imaginable. If you truly believe that they somehow deserve that, then you are scum.

There are good and decent white people in South Africa that don't deserve the stigma associated with being a white african, that believe in equality and in the rights of black people. The referendum of '92 only furthers that point. If you don't believe that, then you should probably not even bother to reply any longer, because it simply proves how ignorant you are of the situation.

All this stuff is stuff that has happened in my short lifetime... the oppression, the abolishment of apartheid, the complete failure of Johannasburg/South Africa and retribution against white people. Lets not talk about them all like they are events spanning many generations.

i mean of course the events span many generations... but Blacks today experienced all those things. hence, the anger. its not like it all happened 500 years ago and its just stupid to be upset about it.

The problem is that a lot of people did leave and now are being sent back my INS. I live in a very small, fairly upscale community. We have a couple working at a local store that fled Africa. They are now being denied assylum because of some loop hole in the Patriot Act or some bullshit. They were not part of the problem and they were forced out of the country they grew up in, but now they are going to have to go back and face death because nobody in DC can figure out what a terrorist looks like.
