I see quite a bit of similiarity between his work and yours. =)

Taking influence from someone else, doesn't mean you're copying, it means you're INFLUENCED by that work...

It is more than obvious that you've been influenced by his work, either directly, or by other sites from which were influenced by his... he was influenced by someone else, etc. etc.

It's the life cycle of design.

Unless you specifically see a copy of a site, using the same layout, same colors, same buttons, or whatever...

You can't call people out, because... god knows, someone else will be able to call you out, and it's a big hypocritical cycle.

All it does, is sorta make you look bad, IMHO, unfortunately, beacuse you guys are a great group of designers...

These threads, and thoughts are better left unspoken, until a real copy surfaces, and needs to be addressed.

I DO see the similarities but I wouldn't consider it theft. It looks like the skeletal structure was "borrowed" but the flesh to fill it in is completely different.

I see the same kind of header, the two sidebars, the header with the buttons on the bottom of the header but the colors and content is different. I wouldn't look at one site and think that it looks "just like" the other site but it doesn't. The only people who would recognize stuff like this rip is a designer....No way a surfer could possibly be tricked into thinking that these two sites were affiliated.

After I posted I saw this

I'm pretty offended, too, actually. I have no need to lie as I personally know neither party involved. And I have been designing for around 7 years now and I'd hate to think that I have no eye for design. I still see almost no similarity other than the striped border that doesn't even look all THAT similar, either.

I've had a sponsor show up with a 90% replica of one of my best converting tours. Now THAT'S frustrating. :mad:

The removed it when contacted, though. Apparently a designer they hired did the tour. I saw the tour on a designer's portfolio in a GFY sig once, but I forgot to bookmark it and I haven't been able to find it since. :(

Bruno where do you get your inspiration, do you have artists/designers that you look up too?

boths designs are fairly simple in style, nothing new or unique about them, designers use same tools, similar content, clients have similar requirments and there some established standarts on how to do things the right way, of course you gonna see a lot of resemblence, what did you expect?

there is only one 2advanced, i hva seen many sites looking like their trying to mimic 2advanced.. 2 advanced is focused on their quality work, getting more and more jobs in, while others scratching their heads or asses and wonder how they do it.

Similar style, but it's certainly NOT a copy.
