I was just checking out blue cross plans here in Nebraska. I can get it for $70/month or $113/month depending on which plan. Most is 10-15% on meds, and 20% co-pay I think.

A good chunk of change, but no deductable.
![]() You might want to look into medical airlift insurance for all the conferences and business meetings you all attend, I recommend AirMed Assistance Pardon the cut and paste... It is an annual membership to provide prepaid air ambulance transportation. AirMed Assistance fills a void in current healthcare plans by providing domestic hospital-to-hospital Air ambulance transportation services. In addition, AirMed Assistance membership provides a worldwide evacuation and repatriation air ambulance benefit designed to transport members all the way back to their hometown hospital. Its $195 for individuals, so if I break a leg in TJ, I sure as hell don't want to stay in a Mexican hospital, I can be flown back to Chicago via an air ambulance, and the ground transportation ambulance from the airport is included in the membership price. $200 doesn't even cover spooling up the engines on a Lear, let alone flying 2100 miles, so this is one policy I am happy to have! ![]()

For Blue Cross of CA I was paying about $45 for just health insurance. Now in that I'm in NV, Blue Cross is $90 a month for the same plan. It's not a real great plan, but it's the cheapest I could find.

Zero dollars and Zero cents. How you may ask?
I haven't had health insurance since 1992. Why you ask? Because doctors are quacks. They "try" medicines on you until something works. I don't take medicine other than my marijuana and some Vitamin C tablets and guess what, I get a common cold maybe once a year. MAYBE once a year. My immune system is strong because my body has been cleansed of medicines and my immune system has had a chance to re-insert itself into the mix. The body is an amazing thing. It does alot more healing on it's own than people give it credit for. Doctors prey on the need for medicines to "cure" people but you know what? Doctors know that the money isn't in the cure, it's in the medicine. |

I am in CA and pay over $900/mo for a family of 4. My boys and I are on HMO ($10 co pay) and my husband on PPO. This is through Blue Cross.
I know outrageous huh. I have serisouly considered just putting as all down to the minimum coverage and having it available for emergency hospitalization situations, but my youngest son is type 1 diabetic and I am just soooo afraid to do that. So I am sure for the sake of feeling "covered" I will continue to to pay it ![]()

and we pay for "extended health benefits"... why??? b/c we want our staff to have better coverage than what is loosely referred to as "free"... ever check how much is taken from your paycheck... i'll have 35% vs your 46% any day bro... oh.. and we do have free health care in the states.. they are called county hospitals.. the one here in Dallas delivers like 75 babies a day or some horrific number like that.. all on our state and local dollar... so before you think you have it better... think about it after you pay your yearly taxes ![]()

again.. we have free health care for anyone and everyone at our county hospitals... get a gunshot wound.. go in and rack up a $30k bill.. and walk out.. have a baby... $10k in bills and walk right out... say you make $100k a year.. and pay 45% in Canadian taxes.. please correct if im wrong.. as I've never paid canadian taxes.. just go by what our office staff tells me... if you make $100K a year in the us .. you will probably end up paying around 30% ... that is a $15K a year difference... and what do you get for that $15 k??? minimal health insurance... and no military.. ![]()
