I can only assume. I mean they probably keep tabs on sites with PR that ridiculously high. He had the #1 listing for "web site traffic" too. Someone at google has *probably* at least visited it once or twice.

OMG, the sky is falling. Google has been banning my ips for months, nothing new here. They have been banning a lot of sites that have nothing to do with me. Look around you they are everywhere. Google does not penalise sites that are linked to from a banned site. As someone else stated if that were the case, then every page on the web would be banned. Google traffic was at best 1%, yahoo traffic has not only replaced it, but is triple per day what google sent on it's best day. I have never, and never will depend on SE traffic for any of my sites. What is good today is gone tomorrow.

I am not saying that I don't care, but I am not going to loose any sleep over every bump in my life. Traffic sales are at a all time high, every affiliate is getting paid on time as always. Life is good. Google banned my ips because I make hundreds of sites that contain the same terms. They see this as spam. There's no big conspiracy going on here. I am not going to model my business after anyones rules. Never.

Right on, this is old news. I've watched choker sites I've traded with go up and down and drop to PR Hell. I THINK google does penalise you if you link to the sites. So decide if it's worth the hit on your PR for the traffic you get from choker. As stated in the quote, the man does not run his biz model on what google does.

Hard to knock anything that is producing so much traffic. I can't afford to ignore google, but they sure fuck with ya some times on keyword placement. Don't really see the sense in having so many sites that all look the same, but then again hard to argue with the $$$ choker is making. The traffic he sends produces and he doesn't have to worry about shaving and sponsors cheating...

Google only will penalize you for bad sites you link to, you can't be penalized due to bad sites that link to you.

I am suprised everything got banned however, usually they would just get a decrease in PR.

Its time to re-register a whole batch of domains and start over again.

Not meaning to point out the obvious, but search engine traffic is arguably the highest quality source of traffic - so the 1% loss could potentially be 5-10% or more of all sales.

I haven't bought much Choker traffic in the past though so I wouldn't be able to make a fair controlled test.

Thanks I knew something was odd about this site, but I had several people look at it and they could find nothing wrong. His traffic is stopped and he is history.

Ita myth that you will get banned by google for linking to a banned site.Google will penalise you for linking into a bad neighbourhood but not to 1 banned site .
So if you are linking to all chokers domains you are in trouble if you dont remove them but linking to 1 of them wont.
