More clarification needed before hiring a hot 95 lb socially friendly rep. For example, if I send her down to a show and she in fact does suck someone's dick and I do in fact receive more traffic for said dick-sucking..... am I leaving the door wide open to be arrested for pimping?

Captain Save-a-hoe...... "the next generation of reality porn sites, with a sit-com twist. See the adventures of the Captain as he travels the world saving hot women from peril and is then rewarded with wild crazy mind-blowing sex."

Who wants in on this concept site with me?

Well I'll be bitten. Captain save-a-hoe is taken and was registered in 2003.

http://www.captainsaveahoe.com

Not quite the concept site I envisioned but it's something.

LOL... if done right it probably could work. I can just see it now, some spandex suit super hero getting laid after saving people.

How much time we want to bet till we see this site on the hun?

who the fuck did that??

Id like to know..

If someone treats you like that publically, I wouldnt refrain to try to protect him or his name..

Who was it? If I were there Id go knock the fuck upside his head if I heard him talking to you like that.

Fucking scumbags at the shows now days.. Frat dudes gone wild they call sales reps and mental bitches Aaron mentions are something that have really saturated the shows I agree.

Aarons attitude seems to be where I was over a year ago. Theres a reason I have no desire to really go to the shows anymore and have intened to give it a 1 year rest..

Wont go into it much more than that, but I think Aaron would somewhat understand where I was coming from.

I dont need the shows for biz, so it is quite easy for me to step back for a while and catch my breath.. January Internext was such a bad experience I think I can take a year off no problem from partying with the clueless frat boys and mental meat models and reps.

Hate to sound bitter but damn, had to take a break. Enough was enough.

Even though I havent gone to even one show this year (except Januarys internext) I havent done this well Financially since 1999.

2000-2001 and 02 were the years when I went to a shitload of shows.. Up to 10 a year in 02 and on avarage at least half a dozen including 03..

After years of doin this, I can say it has no bearing on my biz if I go 10 times a year to a show, or 1-2 times a year.. (agreed much of my icq list has been from contacts at the show however)

Its 90% social for me.. The real biz is when i get home. My icq lists and with a lot of people who dont post on boards or go to 10 shows a year.

I love the shows, dont get me wrong..

But going 10 times a year even 4 times a year Ive decided is too excessive to just go party with sales reps and clueless babes.

Especially now days when the era of the professional sales rep has evolved to Partying drunk frat boy, and beautiful and intresting models have evolved to mental women with no clue and huge headaches the more you talk to em..

Not judging anyone, just saying that the shows for me just dont have the same effect.. At times more headache than anything.

Shows are great, but you can only take so much... At least I can only take so much..

Damn, seems like Aaron is kinda burning out from the shows.. I found myself thinking many of the setiments he publically shares myself a while back.. Sure you can choose the company you choose to be with and hang with a the shows, but even then it gets tireing.. For someone like Aaron these shows have a lot more bearing on his biz than it would on someone like me. So for him just taking a break like I have done isnt as likely..

I just hope aaron doesnt go nuts in 05..

The trick there boney is that many of the people that we are giving a hard time for not knowing as much as we do are at the shows so they can learn. They are not picking up the party bug from just anyone. They are picking that up from the reputation that has been built over the years and from all the pictures they see.

We can not slam these new people too hard cause they are just learning. Just like we were years and years ago.

The issue I think come down to what you said about picking who we hang out with. Are there people in this industry that don't like me? Probably, and instead of starting a confrontation they hopefully just avoid me. In the future I am sure Aaron will just stay away from the people he finds he does not get along with. I am sure he has people he already does that with.

I agree that going to shows can burn some people out. I still do tons of business at both shows and in the office. So for me to continue to go is a good thing. Granted to I walk out of each show with the amount of business I use to? Of course not I know many of the people know and we are already doing business together.

Maybe what we need to do is step up to the plate when we see situations like this, like Adrian from Silvercash did. He saw someone getting a little too Tipsy for their own good and grabbed them and took them to get some food and make sure they were ok.

The drinking and the amount of drugs that have become very prevailant in the past couple years has in my opinion gotten out of control at some of these shows. Granted I have gotten caught up in the drinking. Never done any drugs personally. I am not telling anyone how to live their life. But the next generation of webmasters are going to look to the people who have been around a while and think that is how it is suppose to be done.

Something for us all to think about in our future endevours.

Jeff was there for my first screaming match last year in Montreal...alot of people were there but as you, AaronM, I freaked out on the person who was overstepping and he thought I wasn't going to do anything..well I shocked the shit out of him and he never speaks to me again that of which I don't care...

so yes, you are right about the people who have one face online and another in person...

Hi, I'm Jay. I work for Netpond and also I work for AFDollars.com

I attend these shows in question, and my role is to network, talk to sponsors, current and potential, to help them get webmaster traffic. Also I handle affilaite support for the AF program.

If anyone has anymore Q's about me, I'm easy to find.

;)

Women are just more COMMUNICATIVE about their emotions than men are . . . which is why men are the ones who act totally "mental" (raping, shooting, killing, etc.) when under emotional stress.

On this board it actually seems like men are on average more emotional than women -- defensive, angry, resentful, vengeful, hypersensitive -- all emotional states expressed very commonly here.

I'm not taking any sides here on the whole drunk girl whatever thing, just think this "emotional" stuff is interesting. After meeting you in Vancouver -- you seem like a nice guy . . . you actually struck me as very emotional too. I remember you talked about "feelings" a lot.

very well said Trixie...

as as for Vancouver, one of my experiences in Van was seeing a certain someone bashing ppl for going into a club that he could not go to. We all have our moments, we just need to be a whole lot more passionate rather than not.

I could never imagine being involved in a screaming match with anyone at a show. Honestly, I drink at shows, I also have a good time at shows. Thing is, it is my job to network for my company(s). The absolute last thing I would want to do would be to get involved in a situation that perpetuated anymosity between myself and anyone.

I have some of my own personal ventures and obviously represent the promotions of a couple of large players, one thing I do know is that you never know when or where you may do business with someone.

Getting overly drunk, having sex with someone...who cares? But getting into screaming matches to me is just a bad move for yourself. Some guy approached me in San Diego and made some damn insulting remarks to me, not only did I walk away, but only one other person knows and that is only because she was there. No sense in starting anything, I leave it at the show and walk away from it.

Some of the best times to meet people are after a few drinks. Hell Aaron, you me and Hal had some great laughs over "old school" quotes in the lobby at some late hour in San Diego. I know I had a few coctails in me courtesy of the Nat Net crew

Eric, if I end up seeing you this weekend rest assured what I will be calling you Captain!

Don't worry I got use to it years ago when Ram started calling me Captain Red Bull. Cause that is what I drink.

Just in case anyone doesn't remember my old title was "Just call me Captain."

I am 90% sure you will see me tonight just not sure what time.

Why hell, I never would have known after seeing you and MFM line up damn near 40 beers at PB Bar and Grill during the Laker game! I wasn't sure where the actual bar was at that point!

See you later bro!

My opinion , first my wife and met Aaron M at Web master access in Atlanta. One of the nicest people we have met to date but he strikes me as a guy who as a low tolerance for bullshit and cuts thru it which I respect.

Secondly , I think in these trying times we live in its time for our industry to grow up , this frat party attitude is so bad for business. This need to get so fucked up and do stupid shit what are you 16 yrs old? When I spoke to Garrett from ibill one of things we agree on was these things are business events and behavior should be according. If I meet someone and they are all fucked up I wont do business with them because they have no self control. Also if a rep works for a company thats paying them to be there and work the show . They get fucked up they should be fired. Thats why when we started our networking here Jace and I agree no frat party, so it can be a place people can meet , network , create relationships and remember it in the morning . lol
