old school tracks that girls love when buzzed

The Zombies - She's Not There

playing now

"Well let me tell you about the way she looked
The way she acted, the color of her hair
Her eyes were soft and cool, her eyes were clear and bright
But she's not there."

*shakes it*

"But it's too late to say you're sorry
How would I know, why should I care."

That one is good too. I thought your were referring to "Blaze of Glory" by Bon Jovi. But you were referring to this kickass song:

Here I Go Again
(by Whitesnake)

No I don't know where I'm going
But I sure know where I've been
Hanging on the promises in songs of yesterday
And I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time

Though I keep searching for an answer
I never seem to find what I'm looking for
Oh Lord I pray you give me strength to carry on
'Cause I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams

And here I go again on my own
Going down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone
But I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time

Just another heart in need of rescue
Waiting on love's sweet charity
And I'm gonna hold on for the rest of my days
'Cause I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams

And here I go again on my own
Going down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone
And I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time
But here I go again
Here I go again
Here I go again
Oh baby, oh yeah

And I've made up my mind
Oh baby
And wasted no more time

And here I go again on my own
Going down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone
'Cause I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams

dark lyrics?

selfish maybe, negative, not at all.

I'm referring to most of the lyrics you've posted. Many of them seem to have a "dark" slant.

candyflip 06-16-2004 09:25 PM

At the end of the longest line,
That's where I will always be,
If you need to find me, just go to,
The end of the longest line.

i wont deny that.

you are correct.

im a very dark person i guess if you juedge that way, im a very positive person as you know youve dealt with me for over 1 year.

i just like darker things.

while people like you go to see the movie Troy and like it, I rather read a good horror novel or study a Dario Argentina film like Suspiria.

we are all different.

i learned in art school in Houston not to ever let the face of the clown dictate how friendly he is.

cheers Donny, ive been into dark things since i was a kid.

dennisthemenace 06-16-2004 09:27 PM

I've given you everything for nothing in return
and I'm so tired of bleeding for the respect that I've earned

Tala 06-16-2004 09:28 PM

The more I give to you, the more I die

SykkBoy 06-16-2004 09:28 PM

"how will I laugh tomorrow when I can't even smile today"

song tite, but also amazing line from that song

Mike AI 06-16-2004 09:29 PM

Scotty doesn't know!

Fletch XXX 06-16-2004 09:29 PM

Donny people like me use their dark interests for positive means.

I volunteered at a Haunted House for years raising money for the blind, donating MUCH MONEY and MANY HOURS, scaring people and using my dark interests so orphans could have glasses and many other good things.

I grew up around the stage, so i got involved and I went into horror. I wanted to do make up, and real ffects, I actually still do.

the paths we choose sometimes lead us far from our dreams.

id rather be doing horror make up for blind kids but its not possible anymore and it doesnt pay the bills.

I'm not saying anything positive or negative about it. Just asking why. I was wondering if you know why. I took a lot of psychology classes in college, so I always like to analyze WHY I do certain things... why I LIKE certain things.

I was just wondering if you've done the same, and if you're willing to post about that on a message board.

I know that I like songs where people sort of vent or lash out at religious people that have made the song writer's life miserable. I am drawn to such things because all the negative in my life is rooted in religion. Examples of such artists: Creed and Metallica, amongst many others.

I also like songs about "family" or "children", particularly since my son was born. I am drawn to such songs because my son is my reason for living. His innocence fascinates me. And songs like that make me reflect on him.

So... any idea what draws you to "dark" songs?

Fletch XXX 06-16-2004 09:32 PM

without going into anything, I witnessed family member death at an age old enough to fuck me up. Nothing more fake that catholics playing like tyebcare for a donation.

I met with more doctors and more priests and nuns in catholic school than most cancer patiens doe before they die.

ive been evaluated by countless thelogians and religious scholoars, not to mention catholc college professors whom I challenged at an early age.

I was nearly kicked out of catholic school in grade 4 for refusing to bow and stand when the priest entered the room.

my mom laughed at it.

Ah, so religion fucked up your life too. We have another thing in common. I was raised in a very strict religious environment. Those with TV's were expected to bring them to the church and smash them. Those with records (other than gospel of course) were expected to bring the records to church to burn them. At church camp, boys were expected to swim seperately from the girls, and to wear full jeans and a shirt. Girls were expected to swim in full dresses. Weird shit, man.

I saw people rolling on the floors like they were having seizures. I saw them running around the aisle, supposedly under the power of "the holy spirit". I saw numerous lives crushed by the people that made others feel so guilty and worthless because of the TINIEST "sins".

I hate religion.
