RAVO - Listen up man, and everyone, I'm sick of this

Ravo - I added some fpctraffic blind links to my site and clicked 2 of them in IE to test out my layout and how it works.

Now I never use IE, EVER except to test my own layouts. I visit 2 sites and all the sudden I've got a popup that says "no modem found". I'm thinking "eh? have I been forced a dialer"?

So then I get another popup that force installs ALL the popular toolbars. I have to restart and there's like 10 new processes and my wallpaper is changed to one of those internet eraser ads.

The only 2 sites I visited through fpctraffic were

I just looked at the source for both these sites and couldn't find anything obvious... just plain HTML and standard javascript functions. Are you sure you didn't end up somewhere else too?

It could very well be, people are tricky nowadays.

You say you don't use IE, so do you keep it updated and have all the latest patches installed? Set your browser security to high, as well.

Umm i'm the webmaster at www.youngpervs.com please can you tell me where have you seen any pop or dialer shit on my site? I have also visited the other site that you posted and i don't get anything there either.

Before badmouthing honest sites and webmasters, mybe you should learn to surf and use your IE. Mybe you had that shit already installed and didn't notice before, or you clicked on the wrong link, or your script is a free one that redirects a % of your traffic, etc.

I trade with some of the bigger and more respected sites, do you think that sites would trade with me with dialers?

I don't know what is worst, if the guys who promote that shit or the stupids like you that doesn't know anything about internet and just badmouth without reasons. Next time, if you see a popup at any site, check the source code of that site before posting this shit that can give a bad name to honest webmasters.

I think Icy said it all.

I've also checked out both of those sites, and I don't get any of that shit.

We don't sell our traffic to anyone that has autoloading, autoinstalling, autodialing, or any other type of malicious spyware or hijacks. Occassionally, a buyer will try to slip one in, but we catch that pretty quick.

cluck: This could have easily been solved with a quick email or message to me, but I guess it's your choice to bring it here. <sigh>

Sorry, didn't mean to badmouth anyone. Actually, neither of the TGP's are in my history now. Seems strange.

I found it though. Turns out dailyporn.tv had a gallery I clicked. It was on a smutserver page with a porngraph counter.

Ok, i'm glad that this has been finally solved but next time please make sure about what are you saying before posting it on a public board, you could damage honest webmasters reputation with this kind of threads.
