Me and my hubby looked at it on Valentine's day and they had it on sale, only because they came out with a newer model....... well we came home and checked and the cheapest we found it was $1700 and that was just for the tower.... I get my taxes back on Friday and was supposed to go truck hunting all danm weekend but in he walks and says let's go get you a new pc........
I go straight back to find there is aline of people looking at this baby.... I managed to get one of them off on a Compaq, one down, one more to go...... the sales guy knows I want it and wasn't trying tooo damn hard to sell it to her because he knew I was there to buy it. Well I sold a Compaq to the lady in front of me, right? I made them two sales in one pop........
Soooo.... he gave me this System..... printer, monitor,tower.... equiped with 40GB HD, 800MHz P3, DVDROM, CD-RW, more USB ports than I'll veer use........ I walked with it for $1589.... PLUS the guy gave me $180 in rebates.... so all in all, I got it for $1409....... damn sweet deal.......
Whew........ I still can't believe the rush I had when they put it in my car, it's been my dream to own one of these for awhile now.

Tam, today I bought a Dell computer to my girlfriend, hope she likes the gift
Btw, I paid US$ 1423 for it - without printer, DVDROM and CD-RW.
Its 20GB HD, 600MHz P3, 2 USB ports, 17" monitor, 3com 10/100 Ethernet, Sound Blaster Live! Value 512V, Microsoft® Intellimouse®, 64 MB RAM. Like I said, NO dvd, printer and CD-RW.
Hell, my income is in US$ like any other webmaster.. why I have to pay a lot more for eletronics and computer stuff ?
I think I'll buy a laptop for me next weeks, since my Girlfriend lives 1900 away from me and I travel to there twice per year, and we travel together here in my state twice per year (but 1 month each, better). I have to work these days. Notebooks here are FUCKING EXPENSIVE! When I see the price I say GO FUCK YOURSELF, hehe. Well, I'll teach my GF for she work with me using her new Dell system, hehe.
I'll buy a digital photo cam too. Here is USD$ 420 (some stores sell it for US$ 750 !!!), while in US its only $270. My dream digital cam costs US$ 1300 here - but only US$ 750 in US. FUCKKKKKKKKKKKK ! I can pay $750, but not $1300.
BTW, TAM, CONGRATS FOR YOUR NEW COMPUTER ! IT REALLY ROCKS !

I got it Circuit City...... they were running them on clearance because they changed the style of the monitors...... which suits me...... I still got one hell of a deal on it. LOL
I swear to you.... it was well worth the wait and I can't say enough good about it... I get excited coming to work now having a dependable machine to work on... it was getting so damn frustrating on the one I had.... whew!! I STAYED pissed with that thing. LOL
I highly recommend getting a VAIO, (an Jer thought his English was so bad, shit my hubby just told me I spelled the name of my own damn pc wrong, I am in here 2 days later making corrections.... thanks baby), they are more expensive but well worth it.
And Jer.... your English is good babe..... just keep practicing....... you are doing great.

Babagirls....... no kidding.. the bad part is that we have two gateways.... mine was a total piece of shit from the word go but my hubby's is still running like a dream........ throws me, I don't understand it at all. They are both just one year old but on mine the monitor was going out and so was the hard drive and we have suspicions of the motherboard not acting right either........ so hell, it was cheaper to replace the whole system than to replace all that shit. BUT my hubby's Gateway was built within the same 30 day period and that thing is awesome.........
ok but not as awesome as my VAIO.. LOL

I applaud your maternal instincts but having a new baby like that can be a strain. You're up all night with it, you lose touch with old friends who don't understand your unwavering attachment to it. Also have you ever tried taking on of those things to a restaurant or on an airplane? The looks you get when that thing starts to make noises!
