THC is a toxin, and your body can only handle so much of any given toxin at any given time. If you ingest too much at a time your body will shut down and you can die.

You can get nausated if you get a big hit of high grade pot
but that is not overdose. I have personally become sick and dizzy for 10 min or so after a bong hit of Maui some 25 yrs ago so I believe some may think they have witnessed overdose symtoms.

he was not alergic to it, because he had smoked it before. He said he went into a "coma" like episode, where his life flashed in front of his eyes, and he nearly died.

Fletch, I know he is not lying to me, there were 3 other people there, they all confirmed it. He told me the only thing he did differentyly this time was he drank 1 beer before hand. I am thinking the only other possibility was that he has a panic attck? but he has NEVER had a panick attack before, so he rulled out that possibility himself.

The only time I've ever had a panick attack was while stoned. My heart pounded really hard, I became very hot, everything became bright, I turned white, and passed out. Luckily I was with a friend who called an ambulance, I went to the emergency room, and spent the entire weekend in the hospital. They couldn't find anything at all and finally decided it was a panic attack (my ONLY panick attack ever). Pot can raise your heart rate and there is an increased risk of heart attack within the first hour of smoking. I am still very pro-marijuana, although I haven't smoked since.

I've not only had anxiety attacks smoking, but have hallucinated too SMOKING THE SAME SHIT EVERYONE ELSE WAS SMOKING from a trusted source . . . and I was the only person having auditory and visual hallucinations.

I'm not saying you can OD or die from it, but for people who've never had anxiety attacks before (which I hadn't) it definitely FEELS like you're going to have a heart attack.

It sucks that people cannot present a balanced view on pot because the anxiety was WORSE for me the first time it happened since I was totally unprepared for the possibility of such a bad experience. Knowing now how many people experience anxiety when they smoke it seems fucked up that this information isn't out there to prepare people.

Like lots of drugs different people can have totally different experiences (ex. give speed to someone with ADHD, and watch them mellow out). Again, I'm not saying you can die from it but it doesn't have to be laced with anything for someone to have a freaky reaction to it.
