Guitar freaks... a newbie needs help
I need the tab or position for a G6... I thought it was a typo but they repeated it a couple times throughout this song I'm looking at. I know a G7 but not a G6. Is there such a thing?

Basically, G6 just means adding the sixth note of the scale to the chord, so in that case you would add an E note to your G chord.

A G6 is just a G chord with an extra E note. An example would be a standard G chord with the high E string ringing instead of being fretted on the third fret (G)

So are you saying that I should take my finger off the E string on the third fret?
Like I said, I'm a new new newbie.... third fret first string (bottom string),second fret 5th string, and the 6th string open? |
