Nobody plans on going out and drinking way too much and ending up in a pool of their own vomit at the end of the night, but the truth of the matter is it happens. To lots of people. If it happens to you a couple times a week, there is a problem. If it happens to you once a year (like on, say, your birthday) or even less then its just a bad ending to what was probably a really fun night, and you tell stories the next day with your friends. Not bashing or anything, but the holier than thou "I never see the appeal" speech is way overused in situations like this, so if its not your cup of tea to hear about one kids night out on his birthday ending a little differently than he planned it then just move on to the next thread and save the speech for your Oprah book club meeting.
