Ummm Mac Cosmetics actually COMES from Canada, it's a Canadian company. Sorry to bump this thread but I was bored and searching for "mac cosmetics" and found this thread. Yea, anyways, um Mac is FROM Canada, its a Canadian company, and Biotherm is sold everywhere in all department stores. Dont know wtf Zirh is. I use Mac moisturefeed sometimes, and I use it on my bf as well. I like to exfoliate his face and put different creams on it. He won't let me put a mask on him though :( |

I recommend Clinique Repairwear Day SPF 15, I did a lot of research and I read hundreds of face lotion reviews and this one is decent, it has a lot of anti-oxidants as well which is good for your skin, but the most important factor is spf 15.
I believe that everyone, man or woman should use lotion, especially one with spf 15 to avoid sun damage/wrinkles and skin cancer. It also comes in a punp so its more hygenic. Also exfoliate your skin before you apply lotion so its not all flaky and shit, anyways I love this fucken lotion, my skin feels great after using it, and its not too greasy, plus it fights aging as well. |

The basic rule of thumb is this. If you're buying it from a supermaket, or chemist, it's not good. No debated even entered into. Secondly - you've got to use the right combination of products to suit your skin type. If you've got normal skin [not dry, gets oily from time to time], and use a harsh cleanser / exfoliator [read: nivea etc], it will actually strip ALL oils from your face, resulting in higher sebum (facial oil) production. Result - oilier face then when you began with. Alternatively, if you use dry skin products on normal skin, they will oversaturate your face, and you'll probably end up with breakouts. There's also probably not too much point simply moisturising if you don't follow a complete procedure - if you haven't cleansed and exfoliated, you're going to be moisturising dead skin and oil. A full pattern, which will take 10 mins out of your day - Cleanse with a non-soap/detergent based cleanser. If it froths, it's bad. Best are milks and creams. - Exfoliate. If you can see the beads, it's bad. - Moisturise - Tone All of the above should be done with products that match your skin. Want to know how to match the types? Go get a facial, skin analysis is part and parcel of it. As for brands.. I quite like thalgo. French brand, available through salons only, uses only all natural marine elements, and they make a great men's range, targetted for as little fucking around as possible :D 2c from a quilified makeup artist / beautician. |
