I pop an exit console off my flagship site, and for the sponsors I advertise on it I make more sales off the console than the rest of the site combined.

Surfers hate 'em, but they work!

What experiences have you guys had?

Consoles do make sales but I think you need to be careful about where you use them.

I think the revenu of the ads were 6 % of the whole internet revenue last year ... 6.4 % this year (on wired.com).

This is a LOT of money ...

But dont pop them out of your member aera if you want your guy to come back again

It's not a membership site, it's free. I'd say what it is but I always get flamed by people for whom it isn't vanilla enough.
