Google and GMail

Google should have sold their GMail accounts for $5 a pop, per year, and still advertise.

$5 would easily cover each gig, and they'd still have millions of people signing up, I mean, Hotmail charges you to have more than 2 megs of space.. I think there would of been a flood of people moving over to the $5 email account.

Thoughts?

Cheers,
Matt

They still can do that its only in beta now isnt it?

They would have looked pretty idiotic charging to test something IMO

They will still make a lot of money from gmail.

I think Gmail will be bigger then Hotmail.

And then, there will always be money to be made.
