Holy shit, a helicopter almost landed on my roof (pics)

I was warming up some soup 5 mins ago when i suddenly heard this extremely loud noise above my boat. I honestly almost shit my pants because i thought a plane was crashing or something. Turned out a helicopter was looking for a landing spot and found one on the bridge accross my boat. Fuck, that was scary as hell!

Wow, police everywhere now and its getting really crowded outside...i have no clue whats going on.

I can see it all from my window.

Uploading the pics in 1 min.

i had one suddenly land in the parking lot right next to my office window once. It just came out of no where and wasn't something I was really expecting to see that day.

We had one land next to my husband's complex in Italy because a man decided he wanted to end it and jumped off the bridge next to the complex. So here I am, a Canadian - in the parking lot, consoling his wife who by coincidence was driving on the bridge with her son the moment it happened (and saw it but didn't know it was him) and the son was my husband's neighbour - and we were getting married the next day. It really puts things in perspective. That helicopter seemed like it was coming into the building that day. Scary shit.

I had a friend who was filming a commercial of him wake boarding , so we had to have this helicopter fly right over the boat... it was extremely scary, like sitting there waiting for the copter to crash and the blades to slice you to a thousand peices.... He asked us later what his performance on the wake board was like... we had no idea..we were too busy keeping our eye on the copter.

I presume that's a trauma helicopter, e.g. an airborne ambulance. Something serious must have happened, the victim will then probably be taken to the AMC

Out of curiousity Battuss - if your house is like the one that we see in the pic, is it considered a 'house on the canal' or a boat or does it have another name?

well, could be a forced landing, which is no big deal in a helicopter.

engine can quit but blade and tail rotor are then disengaged from transmission and autorotate, so all pilot needs to do is glide to a flat spot a little bigger than diameter of main rotor.

if it wasn't a forced landing the copter should have flown off by now.

Here in Cali, growers and marijuana activists are winning against Sheriffs and their anti-marijuana helicopters flying too low.

They use heat censors and fly right above your house shaking it.

So California protested.

http://www.stopthedrugwar.org/chroni.../copters.shtml

i love hearng communities fight to stop cops from flying over their house.

they think they can do anything they want, fly right over your house and use radars to see if you growing weed.

ILLEGAL
