say you like something about someone's galleries, a specific style, is it wrong to emulate and adapt these ideas into your own galleries?

ever hear the saying "there is nothing new under the sun".

It applies to the internet. no matter how original someone believes there work to be it is a sure bet that someone has done something similar in the past. now straight up ripping a design off is wrong, but you cant totally avoid emulating something completely.

it's a fact and a reality...fortunes have been based on someone else's ideas and tweaking them

A true designer has "his/her" own style. I see things all the time that I say, "wow, now that is a cool effect" but I will ALWAYS try to add my own spin on it.
