    OK I've decided after 3 weeks of research to go with the Athlon 1.2GHz. Money is really not an issue, I want to do it right. I'm getting all the bells and whistles, cdrw, Upgraded sound and video cards etc...
    So my question is What amount of Ram should I get?? I dont ever want to have to upgrade, so I want to do it right the first time...
    Also any other suggestions would be greatly appriciated..

          You really havent said what you are asking of it I now the Athlon 1.2GHz has a slower bus speed than the pentium 3 1ghz and 256 ram should be enought for anybody if you put in more than that you bus speed cant use it anyway I only run 128 ram and it thats fine for webmaking runs all the normal graffic programes Its only the gamers that need the extra ram.

              Ram is now VERY cheap, so just get a couple of 256's for a total of 512. Should be enough to keep you happy for a while...

                  I do all my person machines with a min 256M or serious boxes with 1G

                      This is all good advice, I believe I'll be going with 512. 256 is probabally fine, but 512, and i wont have to ever think of upgrading...

                          I would go for 256 of DDRAM and a P4, cause for me, Intel still rocks, just a thought
