what if u take off the batery from the bios?
|
Well.. like you've heard about 15 times before.. Reset the bios.. There is a jumper on the main board that you'll have to either remove, or slide over for a few seconds (ususally from pin 1-2 to pin 2-3) It will be labeled on the motherboard. Problem solved. Until she gets home and thinks you've been snooping.... You better have that solid gold story ready...
|
Surely you can simply ask someone on your icq list to test it for you? Or ask her to test it when she gets home?
|
No picture of a baseball bat?
Cheers, Matt |
Get your own computer. =)
|
your girlfriend manipulates you well. you think there is something on the computer you just have to see. in reality there is nothing. its just the bug she planted in your head.
and it is so funny. :1orglaugh if she is smart enough for a password do you really think she is dumb enough to get caught? rofl ! get a dumber girlfriend, that is the solution. |

No, he best keep the smart g/f. |

:2 cents: but its really none of your business... she's your girlfriend, not your wife, so she doesn't need to share everything with you ... if you break into her computer and she finds out, that will be the end of you for sure... :2 cents:
in my experience, when someone is suspicious of their other half, its because they feel guilty about something they've done... so maybe you're worried about what she's up to, because you've been up to no good??? |

.......How do you know she has a BIOS password.......? :rasta |
Lol it reminds me of an old joke..
CHOOSING YOUR PASSWORD A girl was helping her boyfriend set up his PC and he wanted to log in with a password. Now, you have to understand he's got somewhat of a rebelliousattitude and goes for the shock effect. So, when the computer asked him to enter_his password, he keys in "penis". His girlfriend nearly fell off the chair from laughing so hard when_the computer replied...: PASSWORD REJECTED. NOT LONG ENOUGH :1orglaugh :helpme |

reset the jumpers maybe it will help
|
Maybe she's hiding something!
|
1. look for the motherboard Battery
2.) look for the Jumper (black or red) next to the battery 3.) Either named JP5 or JP6 4.) Pull the Jumper off you will see 3 pins the jumper is already on 2 of them place the jumper on the next pin over so its on pin 1 and 2 and not 3 (before it should be on pin 2 and 3 and not 1 5.) Put the jumper back on pin 2 and 3. 6.) turn on PC hahahaha= DONE |
Just use a backdoor...

The battery and reset button work, but you've been caught. There could be a lot of reasons for the startup password. Idea! Ask her. She maynot know how to turn it off or have a good reason. |
like the others said..
remove battery from the motherboard for 10-15 mins and/or jumper settings -- read manual for motherboard. i'm sure there are some devices /software around for brute force/dictionary hacking bios passwords but i couldnt tell you where to get them... maybe learn to speak russian -- if you don't already.. would be a big help :-) |
gees you guys are nosy.

You guys still talking about the cmos? Could be wrong, but I believe he meant it's a windows login password that he's trying to bypass somehow. |

Just use a camcorder to record what she types on her keyboard.
You can also use a wireless webcam, and record with your VCR or laptop. Sorry guys, but resetting the BIOS works partially. She WILL notice something has changed, huh ? |
