TGP owners (< 100K a day)... would this interest you?

Would you list a hosted gallery that paid you per CPM (ie. for every 1000 views) instead of per signup?

You would list the gallery on your page. It would be a very simple layout (from top to bottom: logo, 2 rows of 5 thumbs, text link, 2 rows of 5 thumbs, email collection box, banner). Nothing fancy, nothing cluttered, a total of 20 thumbs.

The gallery would rotate out weekly, and a hosted thumb would be available as well. Multiple niches will also be available.

Payment would be as follows:

1. Regular, clean gallery: $0.30 per CPM
2. Gallery with one exit console: $0.70 per CPM
3. Gallery with two exit consoles: $0.90 per CPM

Here's a basic example of potential payouts for 10K and 50K of gallery traffic a day. You'd get the following payout daily/monthly:

1. 10K: $3 a day, $90 a month | 50K: $15 a day, $450 a month
2. 10K: $7 a day, $210 a month | 50K: $35 a day, $1050 a month
3. 10K: $9 a day, $270 a month | 50K: $45 a day, $1350 a month

Not to shabby considering all you're doing is listing a gallery. No bandwith costs and no conversion ratios to worry about. The only condition would be your traffic has to be at least 60% English (US, Canada, UK, Australia).

So, who would use something like this?

i honestly dont think this is very good, i would rather list a gallery and get $ from the sales. i usually get an average of 1 sale for every 10 or 15k i send to a hosted gallery, thats less than $5 per sale. mabye someone with worthless traffic would be interested.

riosluts, 50K hits to the TGP doesn't mean 50K hits to the gallery. also, only unique hits would be tracked.

what do you mean?
the affiliate program controls what appears on the gallery. if they want to add a 3rd party counter, it's as simple as pasting a few lines of code.

beemk, you could simply slip this gallery in along with all your other galleries. this way, you're guaranteed to make money off the gallery, and you don't have to worry about converting.

also, depending on where you list it, it wouldn't take traffic/sales away from your other galleries.

If I can geotarget and just send you chinese/brazilian hits then sure this is a sweet deal.

Otherwise at .30cpm

Say I sent 100k to gallery, I'd make $30!

Well I can convert much better then 1/100k on sponsor hosted galleries.

The payout would have to be a lot higher to be on par with a standard FHG or our own galleries.

You'd have to supply a new gallery every day since most TGPs updated every day.

I'm inclined to concur w/ beemk and 4pics. A decent sponsor hosted gallery should bring in more than this.

This is essentially pay per impression rates for a pay per click program.

I'm still confused about the gallery itself, is this or is this not remotely hosted?

Regarding tracking, You could always pass this through some tracking variable w/ your trade script or some counter cgi then fight about it later on

I still think I could find a use for this... I would at least try it out, but it won't be the best traffic... unfiltered stuff on various misc. pages...

The gallery is remotely hosted (by the affiliate program).

Using a tracking script would be fine and any discrepancies in tracking would be discussed.

Obviously, you should send your traffic to wherever it converts best. If you know for certain you can make more than $30-$90/100K with your own galleries, than of course you should send your traffic there.

All traffic would be accepted as long as it's primarily English. Higher payouts could be negotiated for higher quality.

One thing to keep in mind is this isn't designed to replace your hosted galleries. It's to compliment them. You slip one gallery into your rotation and you're guranteed money whenever it gets visited. Accept one free submission that doesn't make you money, list this instead, and you're guaranteed to make some extra cash.

psyko514: I think it's a good concept, but I think you'll have to tweak the payouts.

For example, we pay $3/1000 clicks for skimmed traffic, so webmasters can make $300/100K clicks on their gallery listings (now, mind you no content is shown, but neither are consoles).

Or, if a webmaster was to include a simple entry or exit console on their own gallery, they could add $1.50/1000 clicks from a "pay per impression" sponsor.

Did you happen to start this? Also would you have a conversion ratio that you would have to stay above? I don't have any huge tgp's or anything yet but I am working on some and would like to try this.
