Do you have to file papers with the city if you want to shoot porn in your house?

Do you have to file papers with the city if you want to shoot porn in your house?

If I were to shoot some content and sell it... does the city have to know? I want to make sure I'm doing it right...if I ever do it.

That's an interesting question.

I would reckon what you do in your house is your business, yet there may be zoning issues.

Doesn't involve chemicals or other dangerous articles ( what are the cops gonna say? Assault with a deadly dildo? )

It all depends on if there are minors in the house I would gather.

There's a legal site with porn issues on it. I can't recall the URL though.

Only advise that matters.

You have to have a license in LA and Palm Springs, or did when I worked there a few decades ago.

u need a permit/license in L.A. but i don't think many abide by it or the city doesn't enforce it, too much work to keep track of all the porn being shot in homes in L.A.

Thanks for all of the replies.

I think that if I decide to shoot my own content...I'll check with a lawyer.

I wonder what type of lawyer would handle something like that?

Just don't call the city and ask. Or allow the lawyer to do this.

There are so many bylaws that can be used to harass you, and you don't want to risk a fundie becoming aware of what you are doing.

If what you are shooting is entirely indoors, don't worry about it. Just shoot it.
