We informed them exactly how we'd be using the content, they had no problem with us using it for galleries, but now they've changed their mind a month and a half later. as an affiliate program they can choose who to do biz with.
if they dont like the signups you are sending them, its their right to no accept anymore signups (within a 3-7 days notice) but they HAVE to pay you for all the signups you sent them.

OP - just so you don't have to go through 6 pages (might ruin your future vacation) - for some reason, this sponsor has given jact &/or LadyM access to the members' area to pick and choose the content they would use to promote them. Someone within the company, for some foresaken reason believes that the content in question was not yet released (put live on the site). For this reason, they want jact & LadyM to remove those pics from the galleries or 404 those galleries.
The problem is this -
1) before they got into this, they had authorization to use the pics from the members' area (they did not hack into their server to pick up whatever they damn well pleased) they took what was available to the members
2) other webmasters are using the content - yet are not being asked to do this
3) they will gladly continue to keep them as affiliates - they just want those galleries gone
4) ANY CHANGE TO THOSE GALLERIES CAN & MOST LIKELY WILL:
Cause them to lose their partner accounts at some places that aren't reading this.
Cost them time to change the pages or remove the links or remove the content or whatever - TIME is of the essence
Cost them the PAID LISTINGS (that aren't going cheap nowadays)
COST THEM POTENTIAL FUTURE EARNINGS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN MADE WITH ANOTHER 'GOOD/REASONABLE' SPONSOR.
5) A valid reason has not been given for this request.

That's shit - a rep wouldn't take it upon himself to ruin the reputation of the company - unless he's getting fired or already has been.
Are you still seeing sales? (out of curiosity if they have stopped accepting joins or not)
If the program owner is not on this and calling you directly - I say try a call - if you can't get through to him. I say keep your galleries there. If they don't pay you for it - take legal action, you have proof that you were given authorization to use the content? Sue them - oh and for reference info, you should out them on this public board, just so others are warned - get the legal info on this before (just in case) Fuck them - they aren't worried about your reputation, costs or income - why the hell should you worry about theirs?
