Although moderation is key, here is some reasons why I think cannabis is a safer drug between the two:

Pro's of weed
- no hangover
- very very hard to get sick from smoking weed, no throwing up, no overdose, etc
- not addictive, no physical dependency

Cons of weed
- Its illegal
- smoking it can get your lungs filled with tar, unless you vaporize it.
- can be pricey depending on your habit.

pro's of booz
- its legal
- big social and commercial network setup around it
- gets girls horny

cons of booz
- its a nerve irritant, causes people to get violent/aggresive
- can get you very sick if you drink to much
- can kill you if you drink way too much
- you can get physically dependent on booz


so all in all, weed is safer for your body, but I think if either is abused you will run into its *own* problems...

the only thing I don't like about alcohol is the possible hangover after that sometimes occurs. that is the only advantage that pot has.

Okay, I have to post this and say maybe I was wrong. Yesterday I got high for the first time in months, and I must say, I actually enjoyed it more than being drunk. I dunno why, this has never happened before, maybe it was because we were outdoors and I had not smoked weed for a long time but maybe I was wrong.

i enjoy both, i dont smoke weed much but last night i rolled a huge joint and got pretty wasted

if i drank the equivalent level of alcohol then i would have felt pretty sick probably

i like weed because you dont ever feel shit from it at all but i dont like it because you have to smoke it, i have a preexisting cough that is pretty bad so it doesnt help.

most of the time i drink alcohol its not to get drunk, i enjoy beer, i drink light and midstrength quite a lot because i drink it while i work, i also love red wine, but again, not to get drunk

thats the difference for me i suppose, when i smoke i do it because i want to tune out, forget about my problems and have a nice relaxing time - hang out with mates, listen to music etc

not to say i never get drunk for a good time, but if i could buy beer and wine that were non alcoholic and that actually tasted good i would probably drink them a lot
