more people read posts from the big guys. therefore, they refer more affiliates, which therefore increases the company's potential to make more money.

there's also the publicity buzz created by the sale which is great.

Like Kitty said people who know how to draw attention to themselves will always sell their sigs! People have bought my sig at GFY and other boards for years, so whether it is a sig market or private deals, programs will always be looking for exposure and more biz through sigs!

Yes, I never said that sig purchases have NO effect, they did, makefuckingmoney is proof of that, what I am saying is those outrageous prices will NEVER be paid out again, ever! Those days are gone, and you will see proof of it this sig month. Even AaronM will not get close to what he has been gettin, UNLESS he had made a long term deal before which has to be honored. You think anyone is gonna pay someone even $10,000 for a sig? your dreaming.

Prices have come down to earth somewhat, and with internexxt around the corner, there will be a bit more excitement about sigs...

8,000 FUCKING dollars for someone's GFY sig? Noone's sig is worth that much. Two things that would contribte to the value of a sig would be postcount and the poster's reputation. Braw doesn't post that much and while he is definitely a player, he's not the most endearing person on GFY.

The sig market simply makes it a little easier for a lot of people to sell their sigs. Someone first approached me to buy my sig over 2 years ago. Whether there is a sig market or not a lot of people will still be selling their sig for good $$$. We will be promoting our own programs soon and until then I am enjoying promoting companies I like and getting good $$$ for it.
